This day happens only once in every 4 yrs so today must be special. I sure hope so!

I've alrdy helped out my sister and her family as much as I could so the rest should be up to them. I do wish them all the best!

Now that that thing is behind me, I now have to think abt my future --will I stay here or go to KH again? The only question that comes to my mind is 'Why would I decide to teach kindergarten again there?' Lord help me, I don't have a clear answer yet.

We have 2 more weeks of classes then it will be vacation time. I'm thinking of getting my ticket for PP this week. God bless me in that decision.

Taiwan

Well, it had to come to this Taiwan issue...

Last Saturday, Nang Anel msgd me kay mangutang dw sya ni Mama for her husband's placement to Taiwan. Grabe kamahal ba diay! I sent her money on Sunday afternoon thinking that was the end of it. La pa jd diay coz nanawag kay papun-an pa.

The week ended with my telling them that di kab-oton ang di makab-ot. Coz I learned from Bantil that there are still so many things to pay for!!! Kinsa ba gd nag-ingon mo-abroad sya? Ang ako lng gusto nga maplastar na sila, di n mglisud. Bhla n lng if di sila mouli diri in May, ako n lng diay monitor oldies. Basta, I have to visit PP in Apr/May...

Resolve

I had resolved to eliminate my debt burdens. I'm slowly achieving that goal...

Last Monday, Dexter said that Janet is willing to lend me money so that I can book the ticket for Cambodia in summer. Wow, I was really touched with it. But yday and fortunately, I was able to find the money to go. I'll have to wait for 2wks before I'd get it. But the impt thing is that it is my own money, not borrowed from someone else. In time I'll be debt-free. Way to go, Heide!!!

Patience

True, life indeed requires A LOT of patience. I would not be writing this blog now if I didn't have a problem having or getting it.

I am basically a very impulsive person and it has gotten me in far too many troubles. I just hope for the best!!!

Siem Reap Direct

Cebu Pacific will be flying Manila to Siem Reap direct starting on April 19, 2012. Wow, so exciting!!!

After mga 3yrs cguro in negotiations, natuman r jd! Way to go CEB PAC, explore Angkor Wat, explore Cambodia!!! :)

I do hope the flight will be sustained so that it'd still be there when and if I'd need it. I keep the faith.

I now accept that Cambodia will be my 2nd home. Please bless me Lord. They say home is where the heart is... ;)

I remember what Ms Arlene Beguerras in WIS Siem Reap told me on 2 April 2008 when I came for the job interview. I told her of my SG story. She said 'where ur heart is, there ur treasure will be'. Wow, I'm gonna cry n jd Lord. Coz I love my experience in KH so much.

Busy

I have been really busy these days. I've never been this busy in recent times. Hahay, life!

I teach 9 classes at school then I have to go home every weekend. This semester in particular is busy coz of the Christmas holidays in it and due to the fact that I went to Manila during my semestral break. I never felt any break, huhuhu!

Another thing is that I'm trying to write a proposal for a possible PhD in UU. Have been really busy the past 2wks I never got to revising some of it. Actually only a few corrections are needed but then, things have been really hectic at school --I was asked to join the CAS Faculty Choir this year. Practice mi till 8pm or sometimes even later.

Then my sister is coming home on the 14th pohon. I have to prepare the house coz 2 of our friends are coming over. Hay, when will I ever have time to breathe???

Christmas 2011

I've only had 3 Christmases outside the country --in NL in 2000 where I saw snow for the first time in my life, in SG in 2005 and in PP in 2009. Christmas 2000 was with the Pinoys ila Jun and Jenny sa Sunneke. They gave each of us a poinsettia as Christmas present. Then on the 27th mn siguro to we left for our Italy trip na. Christmas 2005 I was in Singapore alone. I distinctly remember that I received my letter for academic warning on the mail just before going to church. I went for Holy Mass at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd in downtown Singapore on Christmas Eve then I took the bus home. Si Bishop Nicholas Chia officiated the mass then. The next day I went to the NUS Computer Centre but closed mn diay kay holiday lagi ang Pasko. I got a message from Ate Gigi then on the bus home. When I got home in Clementi, I think I slept lang and I woke up to Preeti's call. I went to Harbourfront in the afternoon and Yuka called me up then. There was an adolescent Singaporean diay nga namaligya ug ice cream coz they are facing financial hardships daw. I admire that kid; I do hope he's successful now. Christmas 2009 I was with our Pinoy barkada in PP. We had a very nice Christmas party in school also. Nalingaw jud ko atos apple-eating contest. I was wearing my green dress then nga naay lingin2 :) This Christmas was different from all the others indeed. Coz I got so busy in preparation for my visitors' coming, I got sick before Christmas. Sila Janet and Dexter mn to ang nangari. La koy nasimbahan sa Misa de Gallo. Mao ni ang panahon sa Sendong (Washi) in CDO. I bought my HP Note this time pud nga dihay pakapin nga payong. That laptop would eventually be stolen in June 2012 with my Sun broadband stick kay busy lagi ko kaju atos padala nga land title ni Lorna Amrinto. Kay nangutang mn sila diris Pinas nya akoy gipautang in their name. Never again n jud ko lagi ato. And then Christmas just came and went just like that. Till next Christmas. Good luck, Doki! :)

Oregon State

After a thorough look at universities in Oregon, I found Applied Economics program in Oregon State. Wow. I plan to apply for next year pohon but I asked them if I still have to do the GRE. Lisud mn gud and mahal pud.

I'm gonna wait till the end of this month though for Prof Falter's decision, UniGe. I pray for the best. Asa lng gd ko ibutang sa Ginoo. God bless us!

Moping

I realized last night that I have actually been moping all this time. And for what? Coz some guys didn't like me. I realized that I can't do anything abt it. If they don't like me then I just have to move on. Good luck to me!

Portland, OR

He's from the area. But he said he was born in Missouri. He once said I wouldn't have met you if I didn't move here. Keep praying Doki, in time....

I saw how beautiful it is in the movie we watched at school, "Extraordinary Measures". But my problem is that I have never set foot in the US so I cannot totally relate....

I pushed him on what he plans to do with his life. He got angry, he said I used force in order to meet my needs and reassurances. Well, it was all so frustrating so I said goodbye to him. Asked him to email me in a week or two if he still wants to talk to me.

Work

It was his bday last Tuesday, same sila bday sa ako bro. And last Thursday he told me that he found a fulltime job. Wow, I'm really happy with all these developments. I'll just have to hang on then. Matter of time... "The Pursuit of Happyness"

Back to School

We are now back to school after a 2 month break. So far 6 pa ako class but naay possibility nga mahimo 7 coz isplit mn daw ang class/es nga more than 50 na ang enrolment.

At the same time I'm also working on my proposed research for a possible PhD in UU. Right now medyo nidaku na ang scope coz my contact wants me to look at the land market in Philippines man, not just real estate. Wah, good luck to me indeed!!!
