This day happens only once in every 4 yrs so today must be special. I sure hope so!

I've alrdy helped out my sister and her family as much as I could so the rest should be up to them. I do wish them all the best!

Now that that thing is behind me, I now have to think abt my future --will I stay here or go to KH again? The only question that comes to my mind is 'Why would I decide to teach kindergarten again there?' Lord help me, I don't have a clear answer yet.

We have 2 more weeks of classes then it will be vacation time. I'm thinking of getting my ticket for PP this week. God bless me in that decision.

Thoughts

I suddenly feel down. It's because I have a new schedule this time --I hope it's final, no more changes in the pipeline. Instead of 830-930 now I have 1130-1230. I'm not particularly happy with it but I do hope we'll have a good semester together.

I'm suddenly finding things so boring. I can only keep the faith. Good luck, Heide!! :)

I'm now with CDU. Got accepted last Wed, 3 Nov and was told to start right away. Wow, 2nd chance! I only pray for the best...

I Quit

Today is my last day at Camtech. Actually niadto ra ko aron magkuha sa ako allowance. Giundangan n nko oi. Gabii na kaau ko mouli kada gabii nya at the end of the month, transpo allowance ra diay ako makuha? $50 pa jud. Nya di gud na sayon ila ipabuhat, ipadali pa. Ngita n lng jud ko lain. Last Term

On the start of our last term in school, 3 English teachers decided to leave. What??

Actually, nice n bya ako nakit-an n work didtos kindergarten skul. But I want a better job Lord. Sana makahanap ako ng bago by September pohon....

I'm doing well mn sad sa English skul. So far, I'm developing an English program based on the New Headway books. Mahirap sa umpisa but makaya ra man diay. Good luck to me!

Joyce

I met up with Joyce (Nev's friend and landlady daw) for dinner last Friday night. She asked, "Why do you move so much?" Then she said maybe part of the reason why is because you're not yet settled emotionally. Once you're settled emotionally, you tend to work around it. She's a very nice woman, she gave me a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates! God bless you, Joyce :)

What a Week!

Yes indeed. This was one tough week. At the start of the week, I found myself alone again coz my cousin went to Manila for the Bar Exam. Then I received email from UEA telling me that my application for the studentship was not successful. I tried to finish my TESOL course online. I still had 3 modules to go.

But lo and behold, during Saturday lunchtime, I received a call from Sykes in Mabolo. They asked me to come for the exam. Then I went through the HR Interview and the Final Interview. I was hired!

We were supposed to start last Monday, 31 August with a training first, 2-10pm. But when I saw the compensation package from the contract, I knew it wasn't for me.

I finished my TESOL on Monday, 31 August and I'm now seriously looking for a job.

I signed up to soooooo many job sites. I'm confident I could find that new stable work soon. I keep the faith! :)

Precious

Yesterday I emailed Sir Frank to tell him that I've sent my resignation letter to USC alrdy (for the nth time). I said I hope he'd accept it. This is a painful but necessary step for me.

Today he replied. He said I should think more of coming back daw. Thanks a lot. Di na man gud ko kahibaw how to proceed there so I have to move on. God bless us always!

USC would always be precious to me. I hope the feeling is mutual.

Well, I don't think I'll be in PP again till I could afford it. No use going there w/o a good job.

I still want to pay NUS up so that I can move on. I can shelve that part of my past.

Manila TOT

I am here in Manila for the PCFC-sponsored Training of Trainers. We're staying at the Pearl Manila Hotel in Ermita, Manila.

I'm thankful coz I'm here in the training, we have access to internet. I resolved a very important matter. Kung didto pa ko sa ofc, di ko kahirit sa internet, strikto na man.

I may be planning for a Bangkok holiday this Christmas pohon. All depends...

Right Move?

Did I do the right thing to work here in SEDP Inc? I am simply swamped with work! But I need the NGO experience so that I can work in an NGO in Cambodia in future. I can plan to live there for good.

Today he bragged about his official result in the marathon. I keep the faith. Good luck to us!

Running Away Again?

I had thought if I am running away again in my decision to leave PP. Dili diay kay dili man gud stable ako work here nya ig January ako na gud kuno bayad Palm Heights pohon. I miss home Lord, and gusto kong makaisip ng paraan kung papano mabayaran ung Palm Heights.

I cannot return to USC anymore. Mam Ching has given me the guidance. Ngita na ko new career pohon. Then I'll look into getting married. God bless us all. Amen.

Thoughts

Now that I am officially on vacation, I think if I'd really want to stay on here in Phnom Penh. I am missing home and I am thinking of getting married! I know I don't wanna be alone for the rest of my life!

Two weeks ago, I thought I'd stay here in PP, at Western Intl School in particular. Mdm Shirley told me that she'd put me in K3 again next term pohon. Then she also gave me a tutorial session that will start by end August pohon. Kwenta2 nako, if I persist in this tutorial, in 4wks I'd have enough to cover for my visa.

But then, I always think of my Palm Heights bayranan and the fact that nobody lives there now. Unsaon man na nako nang balay kung wala ra diay mopuyo?

I guess I'll hold on. Bigay naman ito lahat ng Dios e so Siya ang mas nakakaalam. I keep the faith!

Rock the Boat

We're gonna be transferring to a new bldg this Sept phon. Grade school na daw mahibilin sa amo bldg right now. Gusto daw kunin ng head ng English dept sila three white guys as teachers sa grade school. Pero si Mdm Shirley daw fought na maretain si Teacher Nick sa kinder. Pero si Teacher John wala. Tua na tawn sya sa Montessori Campus. I miss him somehow. He gave Tita Sonia and I refrigerator magnets man gud. He has lived in Phils before, sa Subic. Back in the 1980s. We talked about it once, in the old bldg. Told him I haven't been to Subic, and I'd love to go.

Some of my students said, "Teacher Heide, when I go to Grade 1, I will not see you there anymore". I miss them and I'll pray for them.

3rd House in PP

Pangatlong bahay na ni Heide, parang ang tagal na nya dito sa PP. Grabe! Totoo, b/c I have alrdy moved to the house of Ate Malyn in St 302 last Sunday, 29 June. Then after that, I got calls for work, one after the other. Cguro swerte na sya nga balay para nako.

I now work in Toulkok, Western Intl School Preschool Campus. Substitute teacher ko for Math and Science, Mam Shirley's current teaching loads. Hehe, there's a trip to Sihanoukville this Saturday. La man na sa plano, I want to rest and paextend pud ko my visa so I didn't sign up. Aba, nareskedyul, next Saturday na daw. I dunno. Only God knows...
