Naa jud nis among lesson lagi with Dr Solomon Aplaon in Silliman University. He asked us to read the History of Social Science Teaching in the Philippines. YCAPS WEBINARS

Niña told me in our GC that YCAPS said they will mark down their attendance in the webinars against the 200 hours total daw that they would have to do for their internship. Wow, amazing! Last night, I met up with my old college friends, Alan and Candice. Morag college p daw sila wa magkita maong mahaba-haba pud ang usapan. INTERN ASSIGNMENTS

This morning, I asked Michael Okamoto kung asa ang assignments sa interns. He said that Kyle will be working with the Community Conversations series kuno; Steffi in their Getting to Know Japan series, and Niña will be in Executive Support. Wowowow, thank you Lord bujag. Excited kaju ko for our interns lagi Lord. Told him that their supervisors can contact them by email today so that they can start by tomorrow. God bless us all always!

TRIO

This afternoon at 2PM PST/3PM JST we met with Mr Michael Okamoto of YCAPS. He's the program director of the Getting to Know Japan series. Dali ra man ang conference call, one hour ra. Sila Sir Raymund and Alan pud were there to provide their support. Twas just basically to talk about where they could be posted. Since American man si Kyle, tua n dayon xay assignment lagi. Then eventually he said si Steffi can work in the Indo-Pacific Series kuno and si Niña on their social media pages or graphics b to. Basta lipay silas ilang new opp bujag. Si Kyle joined from school. At first hinay tawn iyang signal but eventually he was able to speak well ra mn. Dali2 pud ko balhin sa taas kay hinay signal sa silong. And I realized that I need a backup setup sa taas lagi. ALAN IN CDU

Since former colleagues mn lagi mis USC, Alan Tabanao asked to meet up with me last February 1 afternoon sa Bo's Coffee in J Center Mall. I showed him CELO then. Karon nga nagsugod n ang sem, virtual assistant n ko niya. Intawn. Most likely he will be teaching all STS courses daw this sem. For accreditation mn daw ang Nursing. Paita anang trabahua oi. Happy n ko diris akong coordination with YCAPS staff, Mr. Michael Okamoto for the virtual internship of our International Studies students with them this semester. Giswerte jud ko lagi tawn nga nidawat sila. Kay kabalibaron nas John Bradford lagi ta. 200 hours in 18 weeks. Whew! We have an upcoming info session tomorrow afternoon then a webinar by Executive Director John Bradford at 6pm on Japan as a Maritimme Power. Jia you to us always :)

VIRTUAL INTERNSHIP - I.S. STUDENTS

Ay I am excited for our IS students (Kyle Ko, Niña Condor and Steffi Bascar). Sila may due for internship (virtual mode) this semester. Due to the pandemic that the setup of our internship will now be virtual. YCAPS, www.ycaps.org, a nonprofit organization around the US Navy in Japan has already agreed to take them in and we are waiting for the information session schedule with them to officially introduce their organization to our student interns. They have to do 200 hours diay for this internship and they would need to submit a journal every week. Jia you to us all. FILIPINO CITIZENSHIP

Interesado jud my 2nd American cousin Paul sa iyang Filipino citizenship. I think it is for his kids pud. I asked Atty Kent Calungsud man y'day if pwede b sila makaclaim ug Filipino citizenship. Pwede mn daw by inheritance. So I told him about it and interesado lagi siya. We are now in the process of requesting for his late mom's birth certificate from PSA/NSO. Maclaim n daw ni Nang Anel ig March 22 pohon. Taas2 jud to ang proseso kay wala may electronic record si Aunty Helen. From 1945 onwards ra man daw according to PSA ang naas ilang database. Negative Result man ang ingon sa tracker lagi. Sus, kaduha ko nakakuha sa Negative Result oi kay nasayop mn ko. Tuo mn ko'g 1945 ang birth year ni Aunty, 1944 man diay. He is my good friend from Tubigon, Bohol. He migrated to Canada when we were at university I think. He was pursuing Computer Science at USC then. Then lately lang he messaged that he went back to school kuno in order to fulfill a dream. Eskwela kuno sija ug software engineering oi. Sa Missisauga n kuno sija ron. Next city to Toronto ra diay n. So basically lagi, 5 n ang aho pwede bisitaon sa Toronto phn: si Rica Sierras, sila Helen ug Leikha, si Gabby Ventura ug now si Dexter Falcon. Baleng mahala raba jud lagis ilang ticket padung didto. AUNTY HELEN (+)

She is my dad's younger sister sa Hawaii. I was able to visit them last July 2019 during Mike's wedding. We learned that she passed on last 0235 on January 30th in Hawaii, 2035 of the same day here in Philippines. Her funeral will be on February 24 in the afternoon at Hawaii Memorial Cemetery daw after a mass at St Ann's Church in Kaneohe. Rest in peace Aunty and sorry for all the times we caused you heartaches. We love you always. Go now in peace. Say hi to everyone in heaven for us. Amen.
