ITIK PINAS

Si Sir Jobert Koerkamp of Foundation University has a new research grant daw for Itik Pinas, meaning the development of the duck industry in Negros. I msgd him if I can join their research. He asked me on how I could get involved. I said something and he said ang supply chain n lng daw sa ducks from Central Luzon to Negros ang tan-awon. I've done some initial readings already; I even asked JB Dizon. So wait n lng kos next steps lagi. Aloha Doki, go go go! :)

APRIL 12 TO 13, 2024 TRIP TO MANILA

I went to Metro Manila on Friday 4/12/24 evening. Meet mi ni good friend Gladstone Cuarteros for dinner. Wa motunga ang pari kay busy kuno sija with his pamangkins. E di okay po. So kami ra ni Stone lagi ang nagdinner sa Mango Tree Cafe in Trinoma. Then didto ko sleep pud sa ijang bay in Nova Romania, Brgy 168 Deparo Caloocan City. Thanks a lot po for being a very gracious host. Nice ijang rocking chair sa terrace area. The next day I went to Power Plant Mall for the BDO Travel Sale. I need a credit card kay di ko kaafford mobook ug ticket lagi nga one time payment lang. So I applied already sa BDO. Naa ra daw motawag lagi. This afternoon pwede man pud ko moapply sa SM Baliwag lagi. Kung kinsa n lay mauna ug abot. Anyway pwede ra man na'g di ipa activate lagi. Basta I need one for my ticket to Hawaii ig March next year pohon. Kanang bakasyon lang, I'm looking at March 16 to 22. I will keep my job here in Philippines of course as fallback plan. Anyway, naa ra man jud sija lagi. So aloha Heideliza, all things will fall into place. Amen!

NO TO MAYBE TO YES

Today when I looked at the meeting invite from Mam Abegail Delorino for the SE meeting this afternoon, I changed my response from No to Maybe. And then I thought, tinuod. Pwede ra jud lagi that we turn our Nos to Maybes and then to Yes! Atong huna2 ra man lagi ang nagdala sa tanan. For as long as buligan gud ta ni Lord, anything is possible jud lagi. As it is, the meeting last week was cancelled kay busy tanang tawo. Next week n lng daw idajon, before the General Assembly on April 22. Sige lang Doki, maabot ra lagi k didto pohon. NEW TOY

My office seatmate has a new toy so nagtatrabaho n siya ngayon ng maayos. Macbook Air oi, pila kahay monthly ana lagi. Ten years gud pud nilungtad iyang old Mac lagi nga nigiveup n jud last week. Lahi jud ug style ang Mac (iOS). Mao diay nga ang mga naanad sa Mac maglisud sa Windows. Well, kanya2 choices lng yan. Different strokes for different folks. All the best Doki and aloha! I am happy Lord that natype naho ang clanbook lagis Batausa Clan Reunion pohon ig December. Gamay n lay need nga info aron makompleto. TRENT U PROFESSOR

This morning I saw from our ISS FB page a job opening sa Trent University, Canada. Niapply ko dajon oi. Magstart n daw to nga position this July pohon. It's actually a Human Rights and Global Justice Tenure Track position. I checked, pwede man ko. So I pray for the best. Coz sayon ra man ang ilang appication process, teaching portfolio ug research statement ra gud gipangajo lagi. Nksubmit ra pud ko dayon sa mga gipangajo lagi. And I checked; in between Toronto and Ottawa ang Trent University. Basta go lng ng go ko Lord. Show me lng po if asa jud ko Nimo dad-on lagi. Amen! Aloha Monday. ACADEMIC WORK

This time I have a new seatmate in the office - si Dr Romeo Erese III from Nueva Ecija. He is teaching sa graduate school, NSTP ug SEAS. Taas n pud kaju sija ug admin experience sa academe. All the best po Doc! Then I am very happy that gikuha ko nila Venice to validate their questionnaire. Diha n ta pud koy laing Econ tutoran but niundang n lng ko. Coz hago tubagon tong ijang homework; ipagraph p kuno lagi. I told him n lng to look for another tutor. So go go go Doki. Matter of time n lng then basin makauli n kos Cebu lagi pohon for the rest of Term 3. I miss Cebu din; hiring n raba lagi daw ang NU Cebu. But all up to You Lord kung asa ko Nimo paadtoon or dad-on lagi. Gusto p ko moadtos Hawaii Lord before ko maghuna2 ug uli sa Cebu. Please show me lng po. Amen!

MERRIE MONARCH 2024

From April 4 to 6, 2024 ang Merrie Monarch Festival in Hilo, Hawaii. 22 groups daw ang mojoin this year. I was able to watch the livestream for the Hula Kahiko; I hope makakita ra pud kos Hula Auana lagi. This year kay dihay taga Oakland, California lagi nga kumu hula nga morag related nilang King Kalakaua. I do learn some more jud about Hawaiian culture by watching these events. Go Doki!

ONLINE CLASSES DUE TO THE HEAT

Since April 4 to 6 and onward to April 8, 2024 pohon, online n ang klases due to the extreme heat outside. Then holiday ang April 9 and 10 lagi. Kahuna2 gud ko ug uli since igang lagi kaju. But then, di p man sure kung unsay directive sa April 11 and 12 and onwards. Once sure n ko lagi that online n thru and thru ang Term 3 klases, aw lupad n ko padung Cebu or Bohol. If mahal ang plane tickets, then magbarko n lng ko lagi from Manila to Cebu. So all the best Doki sa mga plano. Huwat lng jud lagi aron di ko magsayang ug kwarta. Tua n koy ticket lagi unta ig April 27 to 28 coz birthday man n ni Papa. But I do hope for the best lng jud Lord. Go go go!

MAY JEAN

She belongs to the batch next to us at ISS, batch 2001 to 2002. She works for the Office of the President man cguro to. Anyway, I msgd her on Messenger today. I told her I will be in Manila pohon kay magdinner lagi with Stone and Fr Jovic on April 12. Sa Trinoma mi pohon kay morag pabor namong tanan. And hopefully magkita mi lagi ni May Jean.Amen! She knows about Aloha n bja. And I am thankful that okay si Stone nga adto ko matulog sa ijang bay lagi. Gisulti jud tawn sija nga wa kuno sijay aircon, electric fan ra lagi kuno. Sus, ako p. Pwede ra kos sala matulog jud. Morag si Jacky pud. Anyway, all the best to us always. May the Lord take care of our plans. Amen!

REMITTANCES FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY

Today I actually came to school thinking that I'd apply to the Dutch circular economy in the construction industry PhD opportunity by the University of Utrecht Faculty of Geosciences. As it is, naunhan p jud lagis remittances for renewable energy as posted by that ISS alumnus from Iran. I emailed Dr Hoye and Mohamed Muse about it. I also msgd the ISS alumnus on LinkedIn. Unsa toy ijang name, Amirhossein Chitazzadeh man cguro to. Anyway, I applied already to the Dutch circular economy opp. April 14 daw closing date. Gladstone said tiwason n lng lagi daw ang Silliman nga PhD naho. Hago n man gud lagi Lord and ako n pud mobayad. Mao ng gusto ko mosugod n lng ug lain sa uno. Please show me Lord. SISTER CITIES - SEATTLE AND CEBU

In my Macro class last term, nigawas ang topic about Sister Cities. Of course, because Cebu City has many sister cities. Morag 5 man cguro to: Seattle, USA; Yokohama, Japan; Xiamen, China; Kaohsiung, Taiwan and Harlemmermeer in the Netherlands. In other words, kung nidayon p kos AAS lagi this year which was in Seattle, USA. Pwede ta to nga nangayo ko ug tabang from the Cebu City government no? Moundang or mosurrender man gud ko dajon. Maong wa ko kaadto. As it is, nawa pud ahong gana lagi ato. Coz ang paper is about Malaysian elections; the fall of UMNO. I would have wanted to compare it here in the Philippines with the fall of the Liberal Party. Or nung matunaw ang yelo as Duterte called it. Heheh. Nahadlok pud ko kay dihay isa lagi niingon nga she was stopped lagi when she said something bad about the Malaysian government. So kuyaw diay lagi pud tong buhata. Anyway, I pray for the best. TERM 3 IN FULL SWING

Nagsugod n among Term 3 lagi. Okay ra ta ahong MTh kay 2 ra ang klases. But hagoas TF oi kay 4 klases jud lagi. 2 in the morning with TOU 231 and TOU 232. Though nice ra baja pud sila handlean. And I know many people already sa TOU 232 - sila Ashley Charmaine Valencia, Wendrea Clarin and Angel Marcelo from TCW klas last term then si Elron who is my friend from my Unit J days. Hago lng jud ang 4 hours straight kay summer pud lagi. But I think I just need to rest and eat a lot in order to recover my energy. Maniwang jud ko ani lagi Lord. Plan ko palit ug extension wire this afternoon. Kanang barato ra gud. Try nahos supermarket siguro. Then I have to pay P1,500 plus about P500 for my kuryente and tubig ug ang HOA pud sa Cebu nga P1,000. Nisakit ahong liog ron. I need to drink my Nutria n cguro. I will take them out from my maleta. And drink lots of water of course. Go Doki! Btw I realized today that panuhot ra jud ahong bation sa lawas lagi. Especially kung sajo p. And of course gikapoy ko kay naghagdan man ko to klas at 7am.
