Reminder

I have started to forget him. But on Saturday 25 Oct I saw the PCCL Mindanao Championships held at their school. It was between STI-CDO and HTC GenSan. Nakita sya towards the end game coz they had a questionable call kung kinsang bola na sunod. Pastilan jud oi! Cge ayo2 kanunay, good luck to us always!!!

2nd Sem Studies

I have enrolled at SWU this 2nd Sem 2014-2015 for DPA studies. 12 units ako gikuha. Mahuman daw in 2yrs pohon. Fortunately, ma-arrange ra ang ubang subjects. I don't have to attend all my classes, by arrangement ra ang uban. Jia you Doki, God bless your plans!!! :)

Bucket List

These are the places in and out of Philippines that I would like to go to: Bacolod, Iloilo, Boracay; Halong Bay, Vietnam; Ilocos Region - Vigan, Bangui, the works; South Africa? the Middle East? Shanghai, China I dunno. Basta I love travelling!!!

September 2014 Updates

On Friday, 19 Sept he messaged to say sorry. Nothing more. I said I will only accept his sorry if moari sya'g Cebu. Demanding ra daw ko. Cge lang, all the best to us. On the professional side, I was approached by my chairman to apply for tenureship. Told him I will do it if sure na jud ko. Today, 21 Sept I talked to the current chair of USC Econ. She told me to come back, gave me direction. I said no, di na ko ana. Sila na lng ana. Mag-PhD n lng ko phon sa Iligan or mag-Master in ASEAN Studies sa UPOU. I keep the faith. Jia you Doki!

CDO and Iligan

I went to the abovementioned places last weekend. Nauwanan pa jud ko didtos Cathedral of St Augustine with Perte. From there didto mis Centrio. But niuli na lng sya kay magkita lagi unta mi. As it is, iya sister ra maoy nitunga. Hahahy! The next day I went to Iligan na lang, I didn't seek him out in XU. Reymar is in St Michael's College man and I went to their Intramurals. The next day I flew back to Cebu. Unsa jud kaha no? Juliapatricia once told me that I 'gotta be brave'. Muchas gracias, mi amiga. Hay Doki, you may really need to forget him once and for all. Summer 2014

We just finished Summer 2014. I had a great summer, I must say. I was teaching 2 subjects at CDU then Ate Jing went home for a 3-wk vacation. They went to Palawan. Sad lang coz the father of her boyfriend passed away while they were there. But other than that, they had a grand time in that trip. I was also able to enjoy the remainder of my summer vacation. We had an island hopping in Mactan last Saturday 24 May then we went to Panglao last Sunday 25 May. On Monday 26 May, Ate Jing and I went to visit our childhood place in Cawayanan, Tubigon, Bohol. After that I had to come back here in Cebu to work on my grades. Thank God I had a good summer. Good luck to us all!!!

Short Mindanao Trip

I went on a very short and tiring trip to Mindanao last Monday, 31 March to Thursday 3 April. 1st stop CDO then I took the bus to Davao City. Twas around 8pm when I arrived in Davao. The next day I went to relatives in Carmen, Davao del Norte then on to Tagum, in the house of my uncle and his family. They took me to their farm in Dumlan, Maco, ComVal province. Then I met up with my high school friend Ging2 there also. The next day I went back to Davao City and took the bus to CDO. I arrived in CDO at around 7pm. I went looking for a place to sleep in and after dropping my things, I went for dinner with friends. They walked me around CDO proper then I had to sleep for my flight the next day. Wah, twas a very tiring trip indeed. But I must say, twas well worth it. Jia you Doki! :)

Back to USC?

I was asked by the present chair of Econ Dept. to go back to USC this June. Full-time position daw. But since I have resigned from USC already, I will have to reapply and work for my permanency but for one year na lng, not the usual 3 years. I am thinking about it a lot. Coz actually I left it all behind so why would I go back? I mean, the old problems that made me ran away would still be there so what makes me think I'd be happy there this time? I actually don't want to go back anymore but I definitely need the higher pay. I wanna move on to bigger and better things! :) There's another opp that came. NGO work daw from a friend. I keep the faith! Coz God always leads me to the right direction. He will never fail me. I'd just have to hold tight. Jia you, Doki!

No More China

Late this year, I was told by Earla, my sister's roommate in Cambodia that there's a possible teaching post in China. I responded to it and as of today, 13/01/14, I saw their email describing their offer. Wow! For a while I was dragging my feet coz of the PhD thing that I was talking to with Guus. I am not into that anymore --I don't see myself working on something for the next 4yrs or so. No more China opportunity. They told me that they were not given a work permit for me as their school is small. Cge lang, that's not where I'm supposed to go. God has other plans for me. I keep the faith. Gone

And just like that he's gone. I don't actually know the reason why. I only know that on Friday, 15 November 2013, after telling me that he was in practice, I suddenly couldn't contact him. This went on for many days actually till I got into the crisis with my mom. Later on I learned that he emailed on 18 November Monday, around 4pm. That time nagpinaw na tawn ako Mama sa Ramiro so la jd koy tan-aw2 na's ako FB till nalubong siya. Sunday, 24 November na nako nabasa iya email. He said nawala daw iyang fone. Ako pa sya giingnan nga la ko motuo sa iya giingon... Anyway, till now la na jd sya mokontak nako. I guess goodbye na mi. It may be time to make new plans. Jia you Doki!

Chocolate Volcano???

Bohol suffered a major earthquake last 15 October 2013. Lahi ni sya nga linog kay dugay kaau mawala ang aftershocks. Nya ang ingon sa mga tawo, morag naay mobuto daan sa ilawom yuta before motay-og. Daku na nuon ako duda nga naa juy bulkan mobuto didtos Bohol. I know that God is the designer of all things so I entrust Bohol in His hands. Wala bya kaau damage ang Bohol kay nahitabo mn ang linog during the holiday of Eid il Adha. God bless us all!

Cambodia 2013

I went with my mom to PP last 19 to 27 October. Little did I know that it would be her 1st and last trip outside the country. Rest in peace, Ma. We will miss you and we will love you always. Say hi to all the others for me...

Annus Horribilis

Queen Elizabeth II of England once called 1990 as "annus horribilis" (horrible year)due to all the horrors she had to face. I would like to take her stance and call 2013, the Year of the Water Snake as such too. Coz this has indeed been a horrible year for me and my family, to wit: March 20,2013 We said goodbye to Mami Sering June 2013 I started the semester with the death of my late colleague, Mr Aller August 2013 Sea tragedy --the sinking of M/V St Thomas Aquinas after colliding with Sulpicio Express 7 at Lawis Ledge in Talisay Oct 15, 2013 A very strong earthquake hit Bohol Nov 18, 2013 My mom passed away Dec 8, 2013 The strongest typhoon ever in history, Yolanda (Haiyan) hit us in the Visayas What more reason do I have not to wish that this year would go soon?
