Yesterday our graduate faculty had a benchmarking trip to NU Clark and Holy Angel University in Pampanga. Daku man jud diay ang HAU kay daghan man sila ug graduate program offerings. CONSERVATION AGRICULTURE

After much beating around the bush. Adto ra jud siguro ko kahimos ahong PhD. Coz in order to be a full professor, I would need to do a PhD man gud nga aligned and not allied. Since Agriculture and Rural Development (ARD) man lagi ahong specialization sa ISS, and I'm interested in sustainability. I emailed Prof Dr Justus Wesseler of WUR (Wageningen University and Research). He replied by asking me if my focus would be economics or technology. I said most likely economics because I do have an economics background. I told him that if I will make it to Holland this November pohon, then I will drop by their campus. Wow, grabeha no? Since Aug b to or Sept 2018 p man cguro ko nag-email ana niya. After mi nag attend sa Horizon Europe ni Mam Lovic sa Shangrila Cebu. I guess, all at the right time lang jud. I realized how much I kept my anger with her all this time. Pastilan k Doki. So I brought NU merchandise for them - T-shirt and cap for Baloy and small ladies bags for them (ARB, JRB, MRB and DNB). EUROPE CONFERENCE GOAL

Banking on the success of our Bangkok conference presentation, Mam Lorylie said Europe n pud kuno among sunod adtoon lagi. I said I'll see what I can do. And of course, dapat most of us naay fundng lagi aron di mi mamalimos sa Europa. And most of all, careful planning must be made so that di n mi mangapuyat o maunsa b in a foreign country. THAILAND 2024

I was in Bangkok, Thailand from June 8 to 12, 2024 in order to attend the annual conference of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Regional Centre for Archaeology and Fine Arts (SEAMEO SPAFA). It is the largest grassroots initiative daw on archaeology and fine arts in the region.I got to know them about 3 years ago thru an ISEAS webinar on Angkor textile and ceramic something. Anyway, by God's grace everything went well. My good Thai friends Achara Phurikhup and Nipapan Saeng In (Kai) showed us around Bangkok on Sunday June 9. Twas a truly lovely day! I got to see Bangkok unlike our September 2008 trip with my sister Jessica. Because that time, our tuktuk driver left us in one of the temples. They do have a tendency to scam the tourists, among them Filipinos. God bless us all!

KANLAON

This time kay nibuto ang Mount Kanlaon. Unsa toy ilang ingon? Ang Kanlaon ang bulkan, ang Canlaon ang town daw. Well, all the best to them always. Uy, June 11 is Kamehameha Day diay in Hawaii. The word Kamehameha actually means lonely so Kamehameha I was the Lonely One. He is of course, the great founder of the Hawaiian Kingdom. So June 11 is a public holiday in Hawaii. June 12 of course is Independence Day in the Philippines. And finally June 13 is St Anthony de Padua Day. Go go go Doki, padayon lng lagi. Amen.

UNIVERSITY WEEK 2024

This morning 6/3/24 nagparade mi oi for the start of our University Week. Sa Star Arena ang venue sa opening program. Gikapoy ko oi; saun I was in charge p with our table tennis team. Whole afternoon ang singles for male and female event. Ugma pohon n pud ang mixed doubles event. Pastilan, it's looking very much like SEAT would win both events.
