Yesterday was the start of our lectures. I went to my 9 to 11am klas with ITE 242. Sila RB Madis. Morag mga buotan ra man pud sila. THAILAND 2024

I was in Bangkok, Thailand from June 8 to 12, 2024 in order to attend the annual conference of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Regional Centre for Archaeology and Fine Arts (SEAMEO SPAFA). It is the largest grassroots initiative daw on archaeology and fine arts in the region.I got to know them about 3 years ago thru an ISEAS webinar on Angkor textile and ceramic something. Anyway, by God's grace everything went well. My good Thai friends Achara Phurikhup and Nipapan Saeng In (Kai) showed us around Bangkok on Sunday June 9. Twas a truly lovely day! I got to see Bangkok unlike our September 2008 trip with my sister Jessica. Because that time, our tuktuk driver left us in one of the temples. They do have a tendency to scam the tourists, among them Filipinos. God bless us all!

This stands to be a very busy week. Preparations are underway for our University Week next week, from June 3 to 7 pohon. Since I have been assigned lagi to coach our table tennis team. Today 5/16/24 we had no classes in school kay champion yesterday ang NU men and women's volleyball teams daw sa UAAP. Wow, congrats to them. And daghang salamat for the instant holiday Lord. So I was able to finish working on my midterm grades: I finished checking the midterm exams of TOU 232 and I also reviewed the submissions of PSY 231. Amen! I can always do it online man lagi before I submit it on Saturday 5/18/24. I actually thought of going to Angeles City today to submit our letter for our SAP research. Thanks a lot po for being a very gracious host. Nice ijang rocking chair sa terrace area. The next day I went to Power Plant Mall for the BDO Travel Sale. I need a credit card kay di ko kaafford mobook ug ticket lagi nga one time payment lang. So I applied already sa BDO. Naa ra daw motawag lagi. This afternoon pwede man pud ko moapply sa SM Baliwag lagi. Kung kinsa n lay mauna ug abot. Anyway pwede ra man na'g di ipa activate lagi. Coz hago tubagon tong ijang homework; ipagraph p kuno lagi. I told him n lng to look for another tutor. So go go go Doki. Matter of time n lng then basin makauli n kos Cebu lagi pohon for the rest of Term 3. I miss Cebu din; hiring n raba lagi daw ang NU Cebu. MERRIE MONARCH 2024

From April 4 to 6, 2024 ang Merrie Monarch Festival in Hilo, Hawaii. 22 groups daw ang mojoin this year. I was able to watch the livestream for the Hula Kahiko; I hope makakita ra pud kos Hula Auana lagi. This year kay dihay taga Oakland, California lagi nga kumu hula nga morag related nilang King Kalakaua. I do learn some more jud about Hawaiian culture by watching these events. Go Doki!

ONLINE CLASSES DUE TO THE HEAT

Since April 4 to 6 and onward to April 8, 2024 pohon, online n ang klases due to the extreme heat outside. Then holiday ang April 9 and 10 lagi. Kahuna2 gud ko ug uli since igang lagi kaju. But then, di p man sure kung unsay directive sa April 11 and 12 and onwards. Once sure n ko lagi that online n thru and thru ang Term 3 klases, aw lupad n ko padung Cebu or Bohol. If mahal ang plane tickets, then magbarko n lng ko lagi from Manila to Cebu. So all the best Doki sa mga plano. Huwat lng jud lagi aron di ko magsayang ug kwarta. Tua n koy ticket lagi unta ig April 27 to 28 coz birthday man n ni Papa. But I do hope for the best lng jud Lord. Go go go!

MAY JEAN

She belongs to the batch next to us at ISS, batch 2001 to 2002. She works for the Office of the President man cguro to. Anyway, I msgd her on Messenger today. I told her I will be in Manila pohon kay magdinner lagi with Stone and Fr Jovic on April 12. Sa Trinoma mi pohon kay morag pabor namong tanan. And hopefully magkita mi lagi ni May Jean.Amen! She knows about Aloha n bja. And I am thankful that okay si Stone nga adto ko matulog sa ijang bay lagi. Gisulti jud tawn sija nga wa kuno sijay aircon, electric fan ra lagi kuno. Sus, ako p. REMITTANCES FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY

Today I actually came to school thinking that I'd apply to the Dutch circular economy in the construction industry PhD opportunity by the University of Utrecht Faculty of Geosciences. SISTER CITIES - SEATTLE AND CEBU

In my Macro class last term, nigawas ang topic about Sister Cities. Of course, because Cebu City has many sister cities. Morag 5 man cguro to: Seattle, USA; Yokohama, Japan; Xiamen, China; Kaohsiung, Taiwan and Harlemmermeer in the Netherlands. In other words, kung nidayon p kos AAS lagi this year which was in Seattle, USA. Pwede ta to nga nangayo ko ug tabang from the Cebu City government no? Moundang or mosurrender man gud ko dajon. Maong wa ko kaadto. As it is, nawa pud ahong gana lagi ato. Coz ang paper is about Malaysian elections; the fall of UMNO. I would have wanted to compare it here in the Philippines with the fall of the Liberal Party. Or nung matunaw ang yelo as Duterte called it. Heheh. Nahadlok pud ko kay dihay isa lagi niingon nga she was stopped lagi when she said something bad about the Malaysian government. So kuyaw diay lagi pud tong buhata. Anyway, I pray for the best. TERM 3 IN FULL SWING

Nagsugod n among Term 3 lagi. Okay ra ta ahong MTh kay 2 ra ang klases. But hagoas TF oi kay 4 klases jud lagi. 2 in the morning with TOU 231 and TOU 232. Though nice ra baja pud sila handlean. And I know many people already sa TOU 232 - sila Ashley Charmaine Valencia, Wendrea Clarin and Angel Marcelo from TCW klas last term then si Elron who is my friend from my Unit J days. Hago lng jud ang 4 hours straight kay summer pud lagi. But I think I just need to rest and eat a lot in order to recover my energy. Maniwang jud ko ani lagi Lord. Plan ko palit ug extension wire this afternoon. Kanang barato ra gud. Try nahos supermarket siguro. Then I have to pay P1,500 plus about P500 for my kuryente and tubig ug ang HOA pud sa Cebu nga P1,000. Nisakit ahong liog ron. I need to drink my Nutria n cguro. I will take them out from my maleta. And drink lots of water of course. Go Doki! Btw I realized today that panuhot ra jud ahong bation sa lawas lagi. Especially kung sajo p. And of course gikapoy ko kay naghagdan man ko to klas at 7am. BORDER CRIMINOLOGIES

There is a new project that they are talking about in the LDE Network - Border Criminologies lagi daw by the University of Oxford. Of course, nibalik man ang email maong I responded to it lagi. I mentioned my YCAPS affiliation with Mr John Bradford. Nibawos si Mirjam Twigt of University of Leiden. Di daw siya ganahan motrabaho with military people. Well, former military man lagis Bradford so pwede ra jud siguro. I told her to let us know if she wants to set up a Zoom meeting or something. Go go go Doki, basta para imo, maimo ra jud lagi. Amen! Saun, nauwaw man lagi ko kay gibalibaran ni Dr Zeynep Kasli atong Turkey Greece border nga research niya. So when I saw the email about this, wa n naho tagda lagi. Since nibalik man, I took the time n lng pud lagi to read the email and write my own contribution. Hehehe, go Doki! :)

TUESDAY 3/26/24, OVERTHINKING

Hahay, nag overthink n pud ko lagi this time maong naupset n pud ahong stomach. I went to my morning classes today, Ethics TOU 231 and TOU 232. Samoka sa previous class kay morag tuay mga bratty bujag. And ang next klas kay chill ra kaju bujag. Absent si Elron who is their class rep. But nagstorya mi ug taman ni Buquid, Theo Gabe. I ate n lng after my very short class kay gamay ra man ko'g gikaon lagi pag buntag. Hurot n ug kahabwa when I went to the toilet. Hehehe. This afternoon I have 1 to 3 pm PURCOM with COE 232 and Public Econ with Econ block. Out ko at 5pm pohon. I plan to get a haircut. Btw today I wore the black top that Mam Brenda gave me. Mam Mika said I look very pretty daw in it. Maraming salamat po. Then I was able to book for a place to stay nas Baguio pohon. Go Doki, kay 2013 p lagi diay ko last niadto. I was planning to go in October 2022 but wa nadajon lagi due to the Korean Air mishap didtos Mactan Cebu International Airport. Anyway, pwede man ko mosayo ig Thursday pohon so that di kaju daghan tawo lagis Dau for Baguio. Last year b to, si Mam Vilma went there and she gave me a purse from there. Salamat po. Then holiday lagi daw pud ang April 9 and 10 pohon so more trips to come. Cge po!

TERM 3 SY 2023 TO 2024 NU BALIWAG

Today 3/25/24 sugod n among Term 3 sa NU Baliwag lagi. But next week p jud lagi daw officially mosugod. I went to my classes today: Ethics with BPED/ABELS/Econ at 7 to 9am (25 daw sila but 16 ray nitunga) then EThics with PSY 231 at 1 to 3 pm. Mga 38 man cguro to ang naas class list and sobras 31 sila. Salamat po Lord; here's to another fruitful day tomorrow. Amen!

ALOHA, JANN IN UK

I was busy typing my proposal on solar energy in Central Luzon for ERIA when nagthumbs up si Aloha sa akong msgs niya. Nananadya jud siya kay twas around 7pm diay sa Hawaii and 1pm here in Philippines. Then the next day, 3/24/24 I saw the post of our CDU IS alumna nga si Jann Marie Urgel (now Jao). She was in the UK daw for a few days kay she is now working for a UK company. Morag Business as Software b to ang name; Chief of Staff daw siya. She had a post from a certain college sa Cambridge University. Wow, wa p gani ko kaadto didto. So I wish her all the best. I learned from her that di lagi ilimit ang atong self. Go lng ng go jud lagi coz the world is our oyster. 20 hours gud daw iyang flight to the UK. Anyway, si Princess Catherine raba announced that she's undergoing treatment for cancer. Si King Charles is doing the same. O what has the world come to? Anyway, we will all get there ra lagi in time. Moadto kos Davao ig Holy Week pohon o dili? Morag maoy ahong huna2 lagi. Coz mahal kaju ang mga return flights from Cebu/Bohol. So I will think about it today. Sarado man gud ang SM Baliwag ig Holy Thursday lagi and Good Friday. Besides, April 2019 p pud ko naka Holy Week didto. Go Doki! :)

MARCH 22, 2024 MARIANO PONCE DAY

Wala mi work this day kay holiday lagi. Actually I thought of responding to the ERIA Call for Proposals kay April 15 pohon ang deadline lagi. Uy, pagkagabii, I got a call man from SUMAS (Sustainability Mgmt School) in Switzerland. Sige lagi daw ko'g sign up sa webinars but I don't attend. I said kay busy lagi diri nya inconvenient ang time zone. So he said interested b daw kos ilang programs. I said yes but wala man koy scholarships lagi so basin di ko pwede. We will set up an online meeting daw next week. Wow, I pray for the best Lord. Then I checked their website today. Wala lagi scholarships ang doctorate program. So let's see. Coz God works in mysterious ways. Amen. If Ija jud kong paadtoon didto, madajon jud n one way or the other. Amen and aloha weekend! ;)
