NIDAGHAN N JUD BUJAG

Today I read on our GC that there's a new IS student nga shiftee from Medtech, si Miss Audrey Mae Godinez. She's in my Econ 111 and IS 112 classes. So ang among 1st year now kay 4 (Lane, Dani, Eli, Ronen) nya 6 ang 2nd year siguro (Sean, Angeli, Brian, Paez, Elizabeth and Audrey) nya 3 ang 3rd year (Abrine, Venice and Maxine) and 2 ang 4th year (Mary and Steffi). We are growing and we will endeavor to grow some more. Go go go! ;)

VERTIGO

Today 8/31/22 I was able to confirm that I do have vertigo. Hinay2 lng jud ko ani, di pinakalit sa moves sa liog kay naa koy vertigo lagi. Minimize n lng pud sa computer ug stress para di makavertigo lagi always. Jia you Doki, careful lng jud kanunay. Aloha! :)

HUOA

I forgot that it's that time of the year n pud diay. Since Labor Day is approaching in the USA, time n pud diay for the Hawaii United Okinawa Festival by the Hawaii United Okinawa Association (HUOA). Morag 75 years n sila.. Ang ilang center is in Waipio diay. Last year kay virtual man so I was able to watch some of their activities online. Mao tong dihay nijoin nila from Argentina via Zoom. And of course, the veteran journalist Pamela Young joins KHON 2 Living 808 in promoting Okinawa. Nice jud sija tinuod kay group of islands man lagi so it has nice white sand beaches. And of course, they have their famous andagi and andadog plus dishes that use pork and sweet potato and coconut cream etc. Mora2 ra pud sila ug mga Pinoy magluto. Jia you to us all! ;)

TIRED, 2 HOLIDAYS

Today 8/28/22, after nanglakaw sila Nang Anel ug JM kay nangari for the weekend (meeting sa rotary plus shoes etc nila), nakalugar n jud tawn ko'g karaw2 sa akong mga need buhaton. Salamat tawn sa Diyos kay holidays ang Aug 29 (National Heroes Day) ug Aug 30 (Mandaue City Charter Day) so makahabol kos akong need trabahuon lagi. Ang course guide sa Intro to Public Ad ni Steffi, lesson 1s for this week ug collage siguro checkan. Basta after sa akong kabusyhan sa klases, adto n pud kos thesis lagi. Paningkamotan jud lagi naho nga maka-UREC ko this sem so that data gathering n ko next sem pohon. Bahala ug 1 to 2 subjects n lng ko next sem phon lagi basta kay makafocus kos akong thesis and makahuman pohon. Ay I asked him diay if he doesn't get tired of talking to me. ANDAMON RELATIVES

Towards the end of this week, I played host to our Andamon relatives in Cabuyao, Laguna and Legazpi, Albay. Namatay man gud ilang igsoon nga si Aunty Nenen sa Lantapan, Bukidnon maong from there, nihapit n lng pud silas Bohol then Cebu. On Thursday 8/25/22 sa gabii, akong gitagbo si Jacky sa pier 3. The next morning ako siyang gihatod sa airport kay for Iloilo siya to visit her sister there. Then mga 1030am, sila Uncle Boy, Aunty Necie and her son Tein n pud ang niabot sa Cebu. I met them at the port then lukat mi ticket sa Pier 1 then Santo Niño mi kay nidagkot sila. After that, nangari mi kadyot sa Palm Heights aron makapahuway sila'g gamay. 7pm p man ilang barko to Masbate. May n lng lagi tawn nakatuyhad sila for 1 to 2 hours. Tan-aw pud sila ug Showtime. Sus 3rd set of visitors n jud lagi to naho sila this month. 1st kay sila Dodong Voltaire man from Aug 10 to 13. Then sila Nang Anel last Aug 20 and 21. Nibalik p jud sila Nang Anel this weekend kay attend siya ug meeting kunos Escario sa Rotary and mangita kuno pud sila ug school shoes ni JM. Kompleto gud ang serbisyo sa wifi, TV ug aircon. MARY TABUÑAG

Our returning student Mary Tabuñag enrolled this semester and gusto daw siya mograduate within the school year. Nahuman n man daw siya ug internship diay. Kaweird b. But sige n lng. I thought pwede siya mag-intern next sem or summer but diay man diay. I will just tell John Bradford accordingly. Wala jud ta kahibaw lagis plano sa Ginoo. Aloha Doki! ;)

STEFFI'S 2 KLASES

Sus, nienrol jud diay ang among senior student nga si Blanche Steffi Bascar this semester sa iyang last 2 subjects maong 6 n tanan ahong klases lagi this semester. Pero paid as one unit ra daw ko. Kay aho n mn pud ingnan si Mam Jhe nga by arrangement n lng siya kay daghan n lagi kaju ko ug klases. Asa p man ko ug time lagi nga itrabaho anis akong thesis plus kadtong sa LDE if madayon pud to? Well, hinay2 n lng jud Doki. Coz wala p may feedback from LDE in Holland lagi. I only submitted my draft last weekend. Usually bakasyon p mn ron ang mga tawo sa Europe so I'd have to give them about a week jud for their feedback. Sakto ra pud kaju nga holiday man ig Lunes lagi pohon and possibly Martes pud so makatrabaho ra lagi kos ahong need trabahuon. Sayonon n lng jud ang paghandle sa klases lagi; di jud ko mag essay exam sa Dent klases kay ako ra pud maglansang sa ahong self. Go go go Doki, kaya yan! Btw si Liza Soberano will star daw in Hollywood's Liza Frankenstein. Si James Reid kuno oi iyang manager didtos LA under the record label Careless. Ganahan man jud lagi daw siya mag Hollywood so after 10 years of acting in the Philippines, tua n siyas Hollywood lagi. All the best always!

After seeing Mike's pics on FB from their NorCal trip, I msgd him y'day afternoon to say that I don't know my cousin after all. I can't relate man to his love of golf and to overall jud. We were just hi/hello ra lagi on Messenger till he invited me to Hawaii last July 2019 for his wedding. I said it was just because of me being single that I got invited as well as my 3rd sister to that trip. Iya ra mn pud gibasa dayon but wala p lagi siya nireply. Jia you to us always. 7 KABUOK

Wow! Medyo nidaghan n jud diay ang among IS students kay 7 n man silas akong IS 112 lagi nga klase. Sila Abrine, Angeli, Sean, Brian, Venice, Paez ug Elizabeth Yoo. And Mam Jhe told me on the chat today that nienrol n daw pud si Steffi sa International Econ ug Intro to Public Ad lagi. But paid as 1 unit ra daw so that gamay ra ang iyang mabayran. Sakto ra pud kay I plan nga by arrangement lng siya lagi kay siya ra man isa. Anyway, mga 15 jud lagi tanan among students this sem from 1st yr to 4th yr. Basin diay mas modaghan p jud ni siguro kung madayon tong among gusto ipropose nga International Day. Si Abrine has a lot of experience man daw with it sa Dubai. MAM K AND MAM TISAY

They are my colleagues teaching at our senior high school (SHS). Lingawa lagi nako yday 8/19/22 in CDU coz I talked to Mam Karen Rubillos man. Ako jud xang gichika lagis ilang new faculty room. Sus ang ilang kauban sa dulo kay nagzoom meeting p jud diay with Sir Julz Sanchez their coordinator. Naigting ko oi when she said thank you very much Sir Julz. Support ra baya tawn pud si Mam K lagi naho. Si Mam Tisay pud kay ahong gichat. Makigkita daw siya this week. Well, if makaya sa sked lagi coz I have visitors this week man lagi. Sila Jacky ug Uncle Boy and Inse Necy from Bukidnon kay maglubong lagi kuno sila ni Tiya Nenen in Malaybalay, Bukidnon ugma pohon. From there, Bohol daw sila then from Bohol to Cebu then back to Manila n siguro sila while to Iloilo p daw si Jacky in order to visit her sister Viann there. Wow, 3rd batch of visitors n ni sila naho pohon for this month. Jia you to us all and aloha! ;)

Interesado man daw siya lagi mokuha ug condo unit diris Cebu kay nag-eskwela man iyang anak sa CDU and mahal ug bayad ang iyang apartment nga gikuha. Pero sa November p kuno siya mosugod bayad. Hopefully jud madayon Lord. Padayon ra mn pud si Ate Ica sa pagshare. Amen, aloha! ;)

IS ASSEMBLY

Yday 8/17/22 in the afternoon we had an assembly of the IS students and the Social Sciences Faculty. There were 10 students overall who came: 4 from the 1st year group, 3 from the 2nd years, 2 from the juniors and one for the seniors (I suppose). They were: 1st years: Bollozos, Dani Faye; Limosnero, Elisha Mae; Quiamco, Lovers Lane and Tan, Ronen (younger brother of our alumnus, Tan, Rainier). Na'pa daw shiftee from Medtech but wala p naenrol siguro. Yehey! 2nd years: Sean Honorio, Angeli Bandillo and Dean Brian Baricuatro (absent si Elizabeth Yoo ug nalate si Joseph Matthew Paez; si Lily will not be enrolling daaw this year) Juniors: Abrine Bagis and Venice Tablada (si Maxine kay morag wala nienrol, si Urot pud kay morag wala p dawata nga mobalik) Seniors: Mary Tabuñag (wala p daw nienrol si Steffi). Go go go, we will endeavor to increase our student population. Amen! We had 12 faculty members also who were there along with our chair, Ms Jehanne Macarimbang: Monsieurs Raymund Silot, Arnold Luminado, Jef Francis Lim, Dale Trizer Mansueto, Haryl Ondo, Neil Diola, me, Bil Rodriguez, Alan Tabanao, Erwin Ybiernas, John Virgil Ouano, Max Capala. Akoy nagpalit sa among snacks nga burger McDo meal sa McDonald's. Heheh. Jia you to us all always! :)

CONDOMINIUM

Well, wala koy mabuhat. Nimsg man siya lagi last Monday 8/15/22 evening so I sent him info about condo units for sale in Panglao. Actually dali ra kaju sija nibawos to my msg about the condo units. Hmmm, ganahan ra pud siya mopalit ug condo sa Panglao? Sa 2023 p lagi daw to mahuman pohon. It's Royal Oceancrest Panglao, sa may San Isidro area. 2ND TIME

Niari sila Dodong and family, albeit for a very short time lng jud for the 2nd time here in Cebu last August 10 to 13, 2022. Panagkot sa Simala ra jud to lagi ilang giari and gisulit n lng pud ang bayad sa sakyanan sa barko maong gasuroy2 pud sila as much as kaya. First time to diri ni Maris, Delia's cousin nga mao n pud bantay ni Patrick ron. Lingaw sija kay diris silong natulog kay wa kaagwanta sa katugnaw sa kwarto. Btw, plan ta sila moadtos Danao lagi sa maguwang ni Delia but tuas hospital daw kay napaso sa mantika. Get well soon always. Aloha! ;)

NEW WARDROBE

Kay niari mn lagi sila Dodong maong nipalit ko ug new cabinet nga butanganan sa ahong mga sanina. And by God's grace, nasaka ra lagi ang plastic cabinet sa taas y'day afternoon and nahuman naho ug balhin ahong mga butang by today 8/13/22. Sus daghan kaju ko ug mga sanina oi nga nakatago lng lagis plastic drawers ni Nang Anel. Aho tong pangsul-obon pohon. And nakalimot n lagi pud ko that I have those clothes and other stuff. Maong nice jud diay ng every now and then manghabwa ug mangsort para makit-an lagi ang mga tinagoan sa ilawom. Ig December siguro pohon mopalit n pud ko ug parador or isalbar tong parador ni Nang Anel kay pwede p mn jud to lagi aron kabutangan sa ahong mga libro2. BISU BILAR

On Tuesday 8/9/22 I was able to visit my classmates Mam Vi and Sir Nante in BISU Bilar. Busy man sila kay graduation lagi so wa n kaju mi nagstorya. Importante nagkita lagi kadyot after covid. I met one of Mam Vi's staff, si Kath Lagorin. I'm helping her out pud in order to hopefully land a PhD scholarship in Holland or somewhere nga naay snow. Fingers crossed. TIYO FREDO

Last Monday 8/8/22 in the afternoon, we laid to rest my ninong sa bunyag, the late Alfredo Tiyo Fredo Batausa. Si Bantil ray wa namong igsoona. Didto pud sila Ate Wewens ug Aineen. Si Fr Nilo ang nagmisa ug diha ang ilang mga ig-agaw sa Gingoog nga mga Gallana. Chika pud mi gamay ni Fr Nilo ug ni Tiya Peling, the surviving spouse. Sa Catarman lagi ng ijang tindahan. Bisitahon siguro n naho phn. Mocoordinate ra ko ni Bolon. God bless us all!

1ST WEEK JANUARY 2023

Pohon on this date nagplano ko moadtos Bangkok then Siem Reap. Dalikyat ra gud didto, kitaon ras good friend Rattanak and the new garden in Angkor Wat then balik nas Thailand pohon. This was supposed to be my trip last October 2020 but covid happened lagi. Jia you to us all and aloha! ;)

SOCSCI ISLAND HOPPING

Y'day 8/4/22 nag island hopping ang taga CDU SocSci oi. Nangita ra gud ug excuse para makalaag. Nagdestress si Mam Jhe among chair. Kay gikapoy tawn siyas mga gimbuhaton lagi para lng makagraduate sila Kyle and Niña. Didto ra man mis Opon pud nangaligo. Actually wa ko naligo diay. Nagdala ra jud ko ug mga ilisan lagi, tualya ug toiletries but wa ko nituslob jud. I dunno why, tungod siguros Ironman nga akong nakita lagi padung didto. God bless us all and aloha! ;)

Today I saw Mike's drone shot of the tribute to Kii which I was able to attend last July 23, 2019 at Ehukai Beach on the North Shore. Wa jud ko kita ato p lagi. It's been 8 years diay kuno of Kii's death per Bobby Giron. Wa ko kailas ahong cousin diay. Sad but true. Sige lang, blood ties will always be there. God bless us all always and jia you!
