Anyway, nabasa mn gud naho lagi nga back in 2020 he said that to come here in Philippines will be something to look forward to lagi kuno. Na'pay pakapin nga 'don't you think so?' I was in CDU this morning to claim my coop dividend and T-shirt plus to get the printouts of my transmittal letters from Miss Berns. Surprisingly, more than 2k oi akong dividend for this year so nag-offer jud kos among chapel lagi. Ig Wednesday n siguro to nako ihatod ang mga letters kay mag-exam mn ko ugma phn at 130 to 300. He's the younger brother of former Transportation Secretary Oscar Orbos. Manong Oscar jud n lagi ang iyang tawag. Taga Pangasinan daw n sila. Anyway, I've joined his online masses for a while now. I used to watch his masses too on TV. Nagkasakit bya n siya before. But now he's back. I even emailed him and gave some money to his foundation as well as to the Christ the King Seminary which trains future SVD priests lagi. From Hawaii to Japan? I signed up to the UP Asian Center Japanese Studies webinar and got a very interesting lead. Si Mr Hiroyuki Shindo ang speaker for this webinar. But for me ang nibida jud kay si Kyle Ko among intern who mentioned the bitter rivalry among the IJA (Imperial Japanese Army) and IJN (Imperial Japanese Navy). Kalibutan b diay namo lagi that there is such a thing. Okinawa does not have much importance mn lagi to Japan and the Japanese. Then I learned also about the islands in the mid-Pacific like Caroline Islands that were occupied by Japan daw upon the defeat of Germany b to in World War I. I have to be honest. After all the YCAPS sessions that I have attended, I did miss all those intellectual exchanges every evening. Since Feb 28 gud (Understanding Shinto) nya March 1 (Japanese Soft Power) then March 2 (Sasebo) and 3 (Yokota) mn cguro to then March 7 (Yokosuka) and March 8 (Okinawa). After that March 10 (Japanese-English translating) then March 15 n pud (Japan-Russian Relations). Lahi ra jud pud to nuon. This morning I was able to join the YCAPS webinar by Dr James Brown about Japan-Russia relations. Of course the war in Ukraine became part of the conversation as well as territorial disputes like in Senkaku Islands as well as Kuril Islands. I have to be honest, I never knew these things till I joined all these YCAPS webinars. So thank you Lord for our linkage with YCAPS and here's hoping for better things ahead. RUSSIAN INVASION OF UKRAINE

On 24th of February 2022, Russian forces invaded Ukraine (again). Coz I think Russia already invaded Ukraine in the past too. But this time morag daku2 nga gyera n jud lagi ni. Last week, nagsige n lng ko'g sunod lagis mga panghitabo didto. Most NATO members admired the courage and resistance of the Ukrainian people led by their president, Volodymyr Zelensky. He is a former comedian but he is a law graduate mn diay. Si Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau diay to maoy akong gisunod2 ug si UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson as they had a press conference in Latvia with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and the Prime Minister of Latvia pud. Si Justin Trudeau went to Europe man with his Defence Minister Anita Anand. Na-amaze ra mn ko lagi kay mokalit ra mn siya gud ug shift to French. And then I realized that it is not surprising diay that Trudeau would make such moves as ramping up Canadian support for Ukraine because more than a million mn diay lagi ang Ukrainians in Canada, most of them born in Canada daw and cannot speak Ukrainian. But nalingaw pud ko ni Boris Johnson. Sa Upper East Side New York diay siya natawo oi so medyo datuon pud diay siya. And ang iyang buhok jud lagi ang magda ug bida. Heheh. NUSANTARA

Late last year I heard of this plan to move Indonesia's capital city from Jakarta to somewhere in the jungle in East Kalimantan, Borneo Island. They will call it Nusantara daw and it's planned to open in 2024. In a webinar by ISEAS about it on 3/8/22 at 10am, I asked jud what factors contributed to the decision to move the capital city to so many kilometers away and in the jungle at that. This is the 2nd installment of the YCAPS Community Conversations Series. Si Dr Michael Bosack ang speaker tonight and there were as many as 112 who participated in the webinar. I liked this webinar because he explained the coordination mechanism between Japan and the USA there as well as with the UN Command-Rear daw. Dr Michael Bosack is from Hawaii. I saw his LinkedIn.
