Settling My Late Mother's Estate

Hay pastilan. Need daw dunganon diay ang pagsettle sa estate ni Mama. Nah, sa Tubigon ug Cebu ang mahug nga trabahuon ani. Nov 2013 pa lagi tos Mama nitaliwan. Ang Tinangnan wala toy problema kay nga'n ni Mama ra mn to. Ang Palm Heights maoy complicated kay na'man gud pud nabayad sila Bantil, Baloy ug Ate Ica sa bay. USA

Cguro I took too long to go there. Coz I could've gone there in 2000-2001 instead of going to the Netherlands. Pero di pud to nako ibaylo ako pag-adtos Europe oi. Kadto 2005-2006 cguro, pwede ra ta to Hawaii n lng ko niadto instead of NUS. I must admit I was truly lost in life that time. And it took me five years pa to recover from it. Eventually the head of department, Dr Ruben Juarez told me that they gave my slot to someone else coz I took so long to submit my test results! Jia you Doki, kaya ra lagi n tanan. Talk

We needed to have that talk. Otherwise forever cguro mi di magstorya. But I am keeping my distance from Grumpy Bear. Coz I realize that I do not know him. Kaisa ra gud mi nagkita in 1990. Mora bya siya'g bading. Di sya makigchat pero cge post ug videos. Moreply n lng xas ako comments. His latest video was of Diamond Head. Mao diay to maghike sa Diamond Head. I saw from Resane Tan's post. Nisunod ra mn pud to sila naho sa US but grabe tong ilang trip oi kay from Hawaii to California to Las Vegas then to New York mn lagi siguro to. Kapoya n pud ato oi. Anyway, naay part nga tunnel then naay suong2on didtos Diamond Head hike lagi. One of these days I would do it. Coz it offers great views of the Hawaiian coast jud. Jia you Doki, all the best always! Karaoke in Hawai'i

My admiration of Sharon Cuneta and Karen Carpenter paid off when we went for karaoke at GS Studio in Waikiki last July 20, 2019. I sang "Top of the World" and "Both Sides Now" there. Sila Ayumi pud ug Alisa maoy hilig mokaraoke sa side nila Paul. After this we had dinner at Side Street Inn where I saw Manny Pacquiao win against whoever his opponent that time. And ang final stop for the night was Leonard's malasadas. Yummy! The next day Mike's good friend Dave Banks said I sing so much better daw than those guys in Ala Moana Center, at the top floor near Bubba Gump where we were going for dinner. Heheh. Thanks Dave and Sherri. I was delighted to meet you as well as everyone in Hawai'i!

Alumni Conference in BKK in Nov

There will be an alumni conference organized by NUFFIC this November 20-22 in Bangkok. The topics for this conference would be food security and water management daw. Sa October 11 daw pohon mahibaw-an if nadawat b o wala. It would be a very nice bday gift phon if ever madawat ko. This is the 2nd one coz the 1st one was held in Africa. NUFFIC said that the conference materials, board and lodging will be under their care. Travel costs will be borne by the participant or his/her organization. Wala ko madawat for this conference. There is a better opportunity nga ihatag nako ni Lord. Amen!

Bandwagoner

Ako cousins sa Hawaii tease me for being a bandwagoner lagi daw. Heheh. Saun, sunod2 ra mn ko kung kinsa ang naas finals. Di mn ko parehas nila nga die hard jud sa ila teams. Simala 2019

This past week was turbulent weather. Sige lng cancel ang mga byahe sa dagat. Last Saturday nangabot amo cousins from Tagum kay ila giescortan ila mga iyaan who are visiting Anda, Bohol. I joined them n lng pud to Simala last Saturday, 8/10/19. Sept 13, 2015 pa mn diay ko last nakaadto with Janice. Lahi na kaju Simala ron oi. Bongga na kaju morag castle bujag! Then last Sunday to Bohol n sila. Sa Tubigon sila agi so Ate Wewens invited them over for lunch. Di ta sila moadto kay mauwaw. Nahimo n lng nuon reunion sa cousins. I posted pics of their tapok2 sa Tubigon. Later that night Aunty Helen said wa cja katu'g. Maybe twas because she saw Tiyo Edgar nga bedridden. Nakahuna2 cguro cja nga nakabawos nas Aunty Nita for all the pain he put her through. Jia you Aunty. Anyway, supporter gud namos Aunty nga ija mga pag-umangkon. Debt of Gratitude

I learned from my dad that di jud mi magsalig nila Aunty Helen sa Hawaii. Morag kaisa ra jud sila nagpatabang nija -- for Nang Anel's field trip sa Manila in 1994? and I think for an amount of P10,000. Ija pud mga anak di mn magcge bisita diri kay they want something different from Philippines and Hawaii mn kuno. Kaisa ra jud sila Mike and Paul niari in 1990 for 3 weeks. Bain said he couldn't stop talking about it for a long time daw. Mao ng di mi close nila. Di pud sila kapugos namo kay wa mn sila mogasto namo paeskwela. Mao karon nagsentimento si Aunty Helen sa Hawaii kay nag-inusara mn sija didto. Niuli mn ko after 10 days didto kay mao may amo sabot ni Mike daan. Naa pud koy skedyul diris Pinas na. Madon Macadamia

I bought another pack of macadamia nuts also at the Swapmarket near the Aloha Stadium last Wed, 7/24/19. Ako to ihatag ni Madon. I dunno pa when mi magkita but tua ra ija macs, aho lng gitago. If magminjo ko phn ninang jud n cja for sure. Jia you Doki!

May Macadamia

I met up with good friend May Tampus also last Sunday 8/4/19 at Chowking Gaisano Country Mall. I handed her her half pack of macadamia nuts. Tunga lng kay sa aho sis pud ang laing half. Mahal kaju to oi; $8 gud ang isa ka pack nga 110 grams ra. Heheh. Ija kuno to iapil sa ijang ibake nga cookies. I have known her since 2000. Fellow Dutch student mn nako syas Holland. Sa TU Delft lng sila study. Sila ni Ram ug Luis ug Sir Patrick Tan maoy nameet naho didtos the Hague. Jia you to us always!

Abegail

My good college friend is vacationing from Canada with her family. Fortunately nagkita ra jud mi last Monday 8/5/19 evening sa Parkmall. Kay busy mn siya iya ra ko giorderan pagkaon sa Orange Brutus then nilakaw na siya kay napa kuno silay dinner with her sister in law sa BTC. Told her lahi na ang Cebu ron sa Cebu of the past. Sa CDO n lng kuno sila palit ug property. Jia you Gail, have a good flight back to Vancouver!

Buwad Bolinaw

On Monday 8/5/19 afternoon I was able to send one kilo of buwad bolinaw to Aunty Helen. Upon learning about it nalipay jud cya. Kay mao mn kuno iya gikamingawan, maoy iya ingon. Naabot na ang buwad last Tuesday 8/13/19. Nagsabaw na ganis Aunty ato. Nanghatag daw pud siya ila Flori kay daghan mn to buyag. On the other hand, nangahatag n pud most of my pasalubongs. Nagpasalamat n mn sa FB ug Messenger sila Ate Ica, Delia, Ate Wewens. Sila Dodong Denden morag la p daw kalugar. Si Tatskie n kuno pud motunol sa calendar nila Tiya Peding. Our Batausa cousins from Tagum were here over the weekend also so natunol n pud nako ila pasalubong. K Dodong n lng nga dog tag ug P500 plus k Liezl cguro maoy la pa nahatag. I pray for the best. Amen.

Aunty Helen

She is my dad's younger sister. She is in Hawaii married to the son of an Ilocano migrant. Batausa Jocson sija while na'pud Batausa nga nagminjo ug Jocson sa California. Si Uncle Gody. I met most of their clan during Mike's wedding last July 19, 2019 and during the Ohana Reunion last July 22. We even got featured on TV. Heheh. Ingon siya mas daghan pa sya time naspend sa Hawaii kaysa sa Pinas. Cge diay tawn sija tabang nila Tiyo Joven sa Davao. Nihatag kuno cja kwarta aron mkpalit sila anang Villa Consuelo nila nga property. Mao diay ng attached kajus Tiyo Joven didto. She last came home in May 2015 during Ate Jing's wedding. She spent one week pud in Cambodia. I used to admire her for being so simple. Di jud sija sig makeup. Jia you Aunty! Incidentally, she gave P500 each to all her nephews and nieces here in Philippines. Even to Araceli Montilde (now Obguia) nga ija kuno kinugos. Amen.
