Christmas 2015

I spent Christmas 2015 in a very quiet way. Actually on 24 Dec 2015, Baloy's mother in law, si Nang Patring died. We went there in Matabao to help them out. Kami ni Bantil ang nicontact sa St Peter ug niadto ni Doc Bob for the permit to embalm. Then I got sick coz tugnaw mn kaau. So wa ko kaenjoy sa ako bakasyon. Si Coach sad planned to come here but la nadayon coz gikuotan daw syas Cogon Market. So overall, twas just a very quiet Christmas vacation. God bless us all. Jia you Doki! ;)

New Nephew, New Blessing

Yesterday, on the 2nd death anniversary of our mother's death, my sister in law gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. His name is Patrick Zuriel Nisperos Batausa. Morag combination sa Mama ug Papa ang bata. Tulo na amo pag-umangkon nga puros mga laki, mga barako boys buyag. God bless us all! ;)

Nice Shoes

He's my former colleague at WIS. We used to teach kindergarten together. But he told me that he didn't like me; that we're only friends. He's still in PP, I dunno if he'd ever leave. He said he's thinking of joining the run in Subic. It didn't push through coz wala may direct flight. Maapiki mn syas oras. Morag sa Taiwan n lng sya niadto or sa PP ra ba to. He's now a metafit coach in PP. He wants to be a professional athlete jud. All the best mate! Full circle na daw coz he was in PP then he moved to Siem Reap then he came back and left for Siem Reap again. This time morag PP na sya for good. I think he lives in TTP. Nice mn gud puy-an didto dapita. Kanya2 trip lng ba. Jia you.

Shoes

He asked me for a pair of shoes. Mahal mn so la ko mopalit. I just gave him money and sya nay nipalit. Jia you Doki. In return for this, I asked him to think of coming here. November 6 daw phon kay na'pa silay games during sembreak. Cge gud. I keep the faith always. Jia you Doki! ;) Wala sya nitunga. Nitawag sya last Nov 11 that nagkaproblema daw syas work. Baw lng niya. Erase n lng nako siya. Ktf lng jud Dok!

Myanmar

Merky is in Myanmar as of the moment for her birthday trip. I realized that I could have gone to Myanmar for a refresher course last December but I chose to let it go coz nag-eskwela mn ko'g DPE lagi. Now I'm pressed for time since there's another refresher course for Indonesia and wala pa mn koy passport. Jia you Doki, trust God lng gud! ;)

MY NUS Friends

Have I written an article about the friends I met at NUS? I always think that I have two sets of friends there, my Indian friends and my Pinoy friends. My 2 flatmates were Indians so I had Indian friends who were their friends. These days I still keep in touch with Preeti and Deepti. Preeti is somewhere near Delhi while Deepti is in Mumbai. She's already married and has a son. I keep in touch with Deepak, Abhinav, Rika and Sumantra too. And of course I am a Filipino so I made friends with Pinoys there too. Particularly, sila Rica Sauler, Sheryl Navarez, Jayeel Cornelio and Christian Bustamante were my NUS Pinoy friends. Sila Jonathan Coronel, Patrick Pua ug Mosses Buensuceso pa diay from DLSU. Ate Sheila Arevalo pud, cousin ni Perte is living in SG so I reconnected with her too. Lastly, my classmates. My good friends among them were Yuka Kato, Tanya Sahni Singh, Azad Bali and Srivatsan Murali. Naa pud sila T.R. Rohit, Waqas Ahmed and all the Econ students. God bless them all! Deepti once told me to give her a reason to come here, i.e. wedding. It just might happen soon. See you girl. Hahah ;)

DPE@USJR

I have enrolled in DPE sa USJR this sem. 24 units tanan. Sundays ang klase, sa Basak campus. In preparation for K to 12 na ni. And maybe for my return to Cambodia phon? Cge Doki, pagkugi lng kuno per Ate Ica. Kay to be honest, pwede na mn jud ko mobalik didto. Kani si Michelle na lay need nako iplastar so that makagraduate phon. Good luck to my plans!

My XU Trip

On 25 to 30 August 2015 I was at Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan to teach in their graduate school. Public Economics and Macro ang ako subjects didto. 5 ako students sa Public Econ then 4 ang sa Macro. 25 to 27 August Public Econ mi. My students are Odette Caragos, RTWPB Reg. 10, Bernie Salinas, Regional Statistician, DOLE Reg. 10, Krisha Burgos, Jesuit Volunteer, Jeffrey Praga, Chevrolet CDO and Louie Sabal, XU Econ faculty. Lingaw pud sila, esp. the first 2 mentioned kay moparticipate jud in class. On 27 to 28 August diay pista sa CDO, Feast of San Agustin. But kami kay sige ra japon klase :) I must add that on 28 August sa gabii, nasnatch ako wallet which was Madon's pasalubong from Mongolia May last year sa Cogon Market. Ngadto mn gd mi Kresna sa Limketkai Center. Nasalisi ko sa Cogon when I got down from the jeep. Mosakay pa mn ko para Bayabas where my friend is staying. Cge n lng kay kwarta ra mn ang ilang habol nako. Basin wala to silay ikapamista maong namiktima ug tawo, esp. dayo. Nakuha diay ang akong cash sa wallet as well as my ATM card and BIR TIN card. Ang ako money pud from Mongolia and from Cambodia naapil ug kuha. Tsk tsk, snatchers talaga... On 29 August I went to BDO near Xavier to have my ATM card blocked. Nagwithdraw n lng pud ko'g kwarta. On 30 August after their presentations, I flew home to Cebu. Twas time well spent I must say. Kapoy lng kaju. Today I was told of their Elearn facility. It must be like Teletop in ISS or IVLE in NUS. Pwede ra kaayo mi meet didto virtually so that continue ang among sessions. Jia you Doki!

PhD Scholarship Again

I am rabidly looking for another PhD scholarship this time. Coz tiguwang n mn gd ko. I hope I'd still be lucky to land one again. I am looking at next year na start pohon. Na'na koy giapplyan, wait na lng ko for the application outcome. If di ko madawat ato, I have 3 more options pa. Jia you Doki, keep the faith lang! ;)

XU Grad School Econ

La jud ko lung-i ni Kresna. Sya naman diay kuno chair ron sa Econ Dept sa XU. She asked me to teach with their grad school this coming semester. Ako pa gihuwat ako sked kay diha ra ko adto didto kung wa koy klase diri Cebu. Ang initial plan is 2 modules ako iteach, Micro and Econ Dev. Nya Friday evening to Sunday daw ang sessions, straight. Sila ang bahala sa ako ticket and accomodation. Ay I'm excited with this Lord. I pray maplastar ni tanan. This is definitely something better for me. On the other hand, magkita mi ni Coach this way Lord? I will do my best to seek him out phon. Sa XU gym or asa ba. Kay ako rabay naay sala niya. Basta we do need to talk jud. Jia you Doki, keep the faith. God will put everything into place. :)

Summer 2015

I am not teaching this summer so I have a lot of time to think about my life. Bisan unsa na to ako gitry, till I bumped into the VA scam. I came to the conclusion that mobalik na lng sa KH even if tenured na ko sa CDU. La mn gd koy padulngan didto, all I do is teach and nothing more. Di ko kahandle ug supervisory position. I looked at Bongthom yday and I chanced upon this International Advisor post sa Sustainable Schools, operated by an American NGO. I applied right away. For interview na ko ig Monday phon. All the best Doki, basin mao na ni! :)

1st Sem DPA

I think I have survived my 1st sem of DPA. But I dunno if I can still proceed coz mahal mn gd and I'm paying out of my own pockets. I am thinking of applying for CHED scholarship though so that I can proceed and hopefully finish. Lingaw ra mn pd moeskwela gud. I pray for the best. Jia you Dok! :)
