Si Christopher Cox diay, my Aussie co-volunteer, amo common friend. Duol2 ra amo edad. We're quite a good match daw. And that's coming from him ha! Well, I pray this is it! ;) Moari diay kuno iya uncle kay magpatambal in April sa Manila. Nag-ask siya kung unsay best hospital didto. Told him Medical City in Taguig. Cge. Lunch at Royal Krua Thai SM

Today 2/21/18 I met up with my classmates from SU, Mam Lyn and Mam Vilma for lunch. Mam Lyn is here for the DILG training while Mam Vilma went to PRC to renew her license. Okay mn sila magkita for lunch, so go mi! ;) March 3 pa mi magkita sa Dumaguete phon kay la mn mi klase this weekend. Jia you ladies. Sana masama natin ang boys next time, i.e. the Dragon Knights -- sila Sir Jason, Sir Butch ug Sir Renante. Heheh.

Mao ni hometown ni Kuya Ray Bollos Kirit, one of our Pinoy friends in Cambo. Yday, 2/17/18 I got the chance to visit him. Coz up to 12 noon ra mn amo klase. Mouli n mn ta ko but ingnan mn ko Nang Anel nga naghago2 lng kuno. Mao niadto n lng ko ila Kuya Ray. Mga 1.5 to 2 hrs diay ang ilaha from Dumaguete City. I went to the Ceres terminal and took a bus to Bayawan. Sa Dike View ko gipanaug ni Kuya. Mao diay na panga'n sa ilang tindahan. Nagpaload p jud ko didto sa Globe kay wa may signal ang Smart. Last barangay n diay ang Bonawon sa Siaton then Sta. Catalina na. Next to Sta. Catalina ang Bayawan. Istorya ra gud mi ni Kuya. He bought me bread for snacks and gipatimplahan ug kape. Didto mn daw sa Dumaguete sila Ate Kang. Around 5pm didto mis beach nga atbang ras ilaha gamay. Then nilakaw n pud ko after. I took the van n lng. Mga 7pm n ko naabot sa Dumaguete. IS Research

I must say mao ni nakaguba sa ako adlaw last Thursday. We have a faculty member mn gud nga nicome up ug suggestion nga wa ko kauyon. Sakto mn nuon sija, di mn ko moclaim pud nga aho jud ning field ang IS. Ang development component cguro but ang PolSci component, ilaha na jud na. I hope maplantsa na ni namo ang gusot. I did my research also and now I understand what he's saying and where we're lacking. I keep the faith.

Asa Jud Kaha No?

My passport expired last January 2015 pa but since I didn't know where to fly and I also didn't want to visit KH yet, wa jud nako giparenew. As it is, February 2017 na nako narenew ako passport. And surprisingly its first use was for the CHED scholarship application. Nadawat mn ko which means tanan nako larga from now on would need travel clearance from them. Sayon ra mn daw kay dali ra mn makuha. Sa Central Office pangayuon. Maybe dili jud KL ang gusto ni Lord nga ako gamitan for this new passport which is valid for 5 years. So I hold on Lord kung asa jud. Gusto ta ko'g SG pero wa pa mn ang CHED allowance. Gusto ta pud ko bisita KH this summer but morag mosummer kos SU. Cge lang Doki. Ireveal ra na ni Lord nimo tanan. Just hang on. I have a standing invite baya ni Father Don sa Bali. He is on a mission sa Maumere, Flores Island, Indonesia so dugay2 pa jud cguro sya didto. God bless Father Don! Si Lava pud told me to plan a trip to Nepal this year. Even Inday Nee invited me to Australia. Hay kadaghan bas pwede adtoan. Kwarta ug oras pa lang ang wala. She's one of my housemates in Singapore. She's back in India now. We do get in touch thru LinkedIn. I dunno about this girl, dili sya ganahan mag-Facebook. Even Deepti my other housemate has disappeared on FB too. She tells me WhatsApp is the easiest way to connect with her. La mn lagi ko ana oi. Besides hinay pud kaju amo internet diris Pinas lagi mao di ko ganahan mogamit anang mga app kay kinas lng battery ug load. She asked me lately if I have plans to visit SG. Of course I do. But it may happen in the second half of this year na. Coz wala pa mn ako allowance sa CHED moabot intawon. Ako pa ni gitipid2 ako money. Na'man koy sweldo gamay sa CDU every month good for 6 units nga pwede nako ma-allowance. Cge lng gud, Doki. The Lord knows what you need even before you say it to Him. So just hang on. He's a very good friend of mine. Actually sila Teacher Zaii jud ang kaila. But he has become my very good friend too. He helped me out when I ran into trouble in Malaysia. Sus, nabiktima mn tawn cja'g mangingilad nga Pinay oi. Nagpada na kuno cja'g more or less P300k to this girl kay itukod lagi kuno ug restaurant. Nya wa may restaurant nahimo! Karon this girl is troubling him kuno. Mao ask sya nako what to do. I referred the case to Atty Agaw Julius Delgado. He said ireport lang daw sa NBI Anti Fraud Division. I gave him the link already. Dr Rivera

He has a PhD Philosophy from the University of San Carlos. Nangregards mn tos Sir Diluvio niya. He used to be the Registrar of SU but I think these days he handles the Grants Management Division. I once read his profile. He came from very humble beginnings. Sa pantalan mn daw sa Dumaguete siya nagtrabaho. Then an ambassador helped him, put him to school etc. He interviewed me when I enrolled last June 2017. He looked at my TOR. Then I think he called up Dr Enrique Oracion. He said naa ra tawn kuno kos Cebu Doc. Hahah. Wa pa mn cja kahibaw sa istorya gud. Katawa ko kay like so many people his age, he struggled with technology. Iya gud ingnan ang nanawag niya that he cannot send the number he was looking for kay di lagi daw sya kahibaw mogamit sa fone. Heheh. Getting the Hang of It

Last Friday and Saturday, we finished our presentations for the class of Dr Aileen Rosette Felix on Social Psychology. She's a very young psychologist from NORSU Main. Feel nako early 30s pa siya. Pero giuban n pud. But she was very kind to bring snacks to our class for both days. God bless Mam! We had to submit our book reviews pud and present it in class for Dr Indab's class. Si Sir Jason ra jud tawn for The Republic ang nikaon sa amo entire session. Heheh. Saun, di mn mi ready. Nagyaw2 pud gamay si Mam before nagsugod ang klase. I'm definitely getting the hang of this SU studying thing. Nalingaw na ko bisan kapoy ang magbyahe2 every weekend. Lingaw kaju report ni Sir Renante last Saturday. Ang mga Cinderella, Dragon Knights, UHAW, O-day ug Ala, grabe ka-funny! God bless all of us in our studies. Jia you! ;)

International Studies

Our International Studies program at CDU is very new. We have 3 tracks --European Studies, American Studies and Asian Studies. I think 3rd batch of graduates pa mi by this year. But datu amo mga studyante bujag oi. Mauwaw lng mi kung baratohon amo mga celfone, wa mi mga sakyanan etc. Heheh, ana mn jud n. Pobre mn jud ang mga maestra ug maestro. Kung gusto mi madatu, dapat adto mis corporate sector magwork. I teach International Economics to our IS students. And lately, research. Kuti kaju amo research office but cge n lng. Athena once called him good friend from the homeland. Yes, these days I appreciate his support of me too. Especially nga kahibaw sya that I have to do book reviews, ija jud ko ingnan last Saturday nga magbasa lagi kuno. Heheh. Told him I appreciate his support. In response he said "padayon lng diha day". Heheh. Godspeed Stone, hope you could drop by Cebu one of these days. I can't remember anymore the last time I saw him. She must be very smart. Mao ni response ni Deepti when I said a friend's former girlfriend was studying in Oxford and that's how they broke up. Every now and then I look at her profile on FB. She's now married with 2 kids in Hong Kong. HK is their home jud daw. She works for MTR Corp; before sa Cathay Pacific to siya. She's multi-awarded. She used to have a blog but I think she cancelled it. Jia you Doki, don't compare yourself to her. Kanya2 swerte ta in life. Amen.

Bible/Job

I once went to confession sa Basak, Mandaue and in response the priest told me to read the story of Job in the Bible. Kay datu mn gud ni cja di ba, nya gikuhaan siya tanan ni Lord. Iya riches, family, tanan jud. Si Madam Shirley lagi told me to read the Bible everyday in order to be wise according to God's will. In the homily diay today, sa Mabolo mn ko nisimba, the priest said, in the sharing of suffering there is love. Mao daw na reason ngano naay suffering in this world. Melodramatic/melancholic n jud ko ron mga panahona. Apil ba pud kaha nis premenopausal signs and symptoms? Jia you Doki. Basta eat right and sleep right lng jud. Ako gisearch sa internet. Aside from my former student Richard Alfajora, napa jud koy lain gusto makigchat nako this time. Last May 2017 pa na cja right after the first installment to our reunion. Batch mn ta ni silas ako maguwang but nauwahi daw cja mao kabatch na kuno cja namo. Bawo wa jud ko kadumdum nija tawn. Besides, nana ni cjay 17 y.o. daughter but they're not married with the mother of the child. She's married na daw to someone else. Di ganahan nija ako good high school friend. Heheh. He's a warehouse checker in Metro Manila. I dunno about him. Makigchat mn jud. Morag kadtong Probinsyano nga nagshooting sa ilang work site ang sinugdanan. Funny, niingon na to ija sis nga sya kuno motahi sa ako gown. Hahah. Last weekend he said gusto na kuno siya mouli diri. Then I asked him if kaya niya dawaton ang sweldo diri Cebu or Bohol. Dili pa daw. So I told him trabaho n lng syas Manila until sya moretire. Jia you!

EMV (Europay, Mastercard and Visa)

Mao ni reason nga naupdate amo ATM cards diris Pinas. For added security. Ang ako LandBank ATM has a VISA chip. Yday I claimed my BDO ATM card and I saw that it has a Mastercard chip. But mga debit cards ra mn diay sila. Dili credit cards. Sakto ra pud oi. Coz I terminated all my credit cards n mn lagi ever since I had trouble with it in 2006 when I was in SG. Nahasol pa ako brother ato coz sya may nibayad sa ako HSBC Red Mastercard. Gihasol pud ko Mam Inday when iya gisakyan ako credit card. So never again jud ko ato. Jia you Doki.
