I saw the video yesterday of Kamaka Pili's interview with Kealii Reichel for the initial episode of Aloha Authentic on KHON 2 News. I told him of my memories of Europe. He said those were beautiful memories daw. Indeed. He has not been to Europe man daw. Heheh. Today he said that he is thinking of coming to Philippines kuno kay iuli kuno niya ang ashes sa iyang late wife. Sus, alibi n pud. He once suggested that if I come to their part of the USA, sa Europe n lng daw moagi. And do the trip in stages daw if mosakit n lagi ahong likod. Jia you Doki, go lang nang go. POLITICS IS DIVISIVE

Since last Friday lagi nga nisara ang filing of candidacy for president, naukay n jud lagi ang social media. Grabe kaju ang pagdaut ni Leni Robredo last weekend. Karon n pud, nagpost n pud si Ate Tonet ug video ni Leni Robredo nga nagbinogo kuno ug tubag. Coz she clarified man the question of how different will her presidency be. So she said from the other 2 women presidents or from the rest of the presidents? Kujaw kajus Nita Marie Abarquez modefend sa DDS. Pero sakto pud sija. Panahon p ni Noynoy nagbuild n ug structures ang China sa West Philippine Sea, 2014. But International Court in The Hague mn lagi tong ilang gisaligan. Actually ang nahitabo daw ato was China said they will stand down and nisunod daw ang Pilipinas. But wala mosunod ang China sa agreement. Mao ng hangtod karon na'nay military base ang China sa West Phil Sea lagi. She eventually realized that sayop siya sa Sabah issue. I told her n lng that we are all entitled to our own opinions. BRAZIL

There are Koreans pud diay in Brazil. There's a Global Virtual Travel Group man gud on Inter Nations and they have a Wonderful Korea event coming up. I made a comment and ang nagreply kay Korean who is ambassador of the Sao Paulo community. I messaged her already. Wow, all over the world diay pud ni sila. LINGUISTICS

I do have an interest in languages and linguistics man jud so today I signed up to this Coursera free course on linguistics from Leiden University. I am meeting new people too all over the world so I am really happy about it. Today 10/12/21 is quite a busy day. I have midterm test in Econ 111 in the morning and TCW with RT at late afternoon. There is an Inter Nations Newcomers' event pud tonight at 7pm. I may not join n cguro the INET forum at 9pm. Good luck Doki, checking papers n jud ta ani this week. I got inspired with the Kilauea eruption in order to look at the Big Island of Hawaii and the other islands in the chain. The Big Island of Hawaii has 8 volcanoes b to. Sus kadaghan intawn. I know Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, Kilauea, Kohala, unsa p to. Incidentally, the island of Kauai was also featured on KHON 2 the entire week last week. They are looking for workers man gud. So far, I know that Kauai has a coffee company that has been there since 1800 I think. Developed ra jud ang agriculture sa Hawaii coz apil mn sila lagis producers during the 1800s. LENI IN 2022

So far, 2 of my friends have been vocal about their support for Leni Robredo in 2022 -- Stone and Madon. I like her too but I don't want her to be identified with the dilawan (Liberal Party) so I think tis a very good move on her part to run as independent. Pink diay ang iyang color. Siya n pud ron ang nagstrategize so that she would win. Ang strategy sa kabila kay karaan man - si Bato de la Rosa filed for presidency yday on the last day of filing of certificates of candidacy. Nya substitution is possible man till Nov. 15 so I think ang admin is still getting the feel kung winnable bas Sarah or BBM. Coz I don't think they will field both Sarah and BBM together; sayang if madivide ang votes nila. So all the best to the candidates in the presidential race always! Syaro ug way mapili sa 5 di b? Manny Pacquiao, Ping Lacson, Isko Moreno, Leni Robredo and whoever the admin would field? God bless our country always! ;)

LDE

Today when I opened my Facebook, I saw a post about an opportunity as a research associate with the LDE Centre for Governance of Migration and Diversity. LDE stands for Leiden-Delft-Erasmus so this is basically a consortium between Leiden University, TU Delft and Erasmus University of Rotterdam - ISS. I applied for the initial screening already. If madawat daw sa 1st step, pasubmiton n ug full-blown application. I dunno, I just have a good feeling about it. Unlike that one about water-food-shelter nexus nga needed jud ang Dutch proficiency. HAWAII VOLCANOES

Indeed, Hawaii is part of a chain of islands that are said to have resulted from geologic changes. The island of Oahu is said to have been formed from two volcanoes that merged, Koolau and Waianae. I once told Mike that the Koolau Mountain Range looks so scary. To which he replied that they're not scary, but beautiful rather. Because when it rains, those mountains become waterfalls where rainwater would actually drip. I was here in Cebu already when upon coming out of CDU, I looked at our mountains here and I realized that they are just NOT THE SAME as the ones in Hawaii. Ibang level jud to sila Lord kay millions of years ago n gud kuno to naporma. Jia you. Yesterday I bumped into this video about a Geologic Tour of Hawaii. It featured all the volcanoes in the Big Island. As of this time, it is Kilauea that's making the show. Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea are not active anymore.. Where could this chain of islands ever end? To the group of islands in South Pacific? How many thousand years will that be from now? Only God knows. But these are natural forces of course in our universe. Happy Thursday everybody! ;)

The filing for the certificates of candidacy for the upcoming Presidential Elections in May 2022 will be from October 1 to 8 at Sofitel Hotel in Metro Manila. As of today 10/7/21, the following have expressed their intentions to run as President -- Manny Pacquiao with Lito Atienza as VP; Isko Moreno with Doc Willie Ong as VP; Ping Lacson with Tito Sotto as VP; Bong Go for VP, and Bongbong Marcos for President, and Leni Robredo announced her candidacy also today. But who's her running mate? Wow, the submission will end tomorrow but substitution is till November 15, 2021 p daw phn. Omg, unsa n kh pud pakana sa mga Duterte? Will Bong Go unite with BBM? Abangan ang susunod n kabanata.. Happy Thursday to us all! ;)

BATAUSA RELATIVES

Today 10/3/21 ang bday ni Aunty Helen in Hawaii. 18 hours behind mn silas Pilipinas gud. Nalipay diay tawn sijas ahong greeting sa FB nga collage using FB's suggested pictures lang gud. Then I looked at our picture lang pud last May 2015 nga kasal ni Ate Jing. She told me man diay then that I have to work for it if naa n daw kuno. I msgd her n lng privately that morag mao jud nay mahitabo lagi. Coz love is work bya, it is a decision and not just a feeling. We do have to work at the relationship everyday. So all the best n lng naho ani kung asa ko ani kadung. Then nakigchat pud si Uncle Nemesio Sucano. Nag-ask sija kung kinsa kunos Mike Jocson Told him eldest n ni Aunty Helen and that ila2hon lng nija kay memorable lagi niya ang ilang one-month vacation here in the Philippines last May 1990. Swerte jud to sila nga nibiya that time kay the day after they left, nibuto mn ang Pinatubo. Had they stayed longer, stranded jud sila diris Pinas ato. Anyway, God bless us always.
