New Uniform for SY 2018-2019

On Monday, 26 Nov when I went to school to resked the oral defense of my research mentees, I saw my new set of uniform. It is by Tahi-anan in Arlington Pond, not anymore by Romoff. Sus, more than one sem late pud cja oi. Last June p gud to mi nagsukod. Cge n lng. Gray and black ang one set then light blue ang other set. At least nana mi ilis-ilisan. I even used the gray set yday for our picture taking. Nice ang gray suotan ug black coat on top. Jia you to us!

43rd Bday

I had a very quiet birthday last Thursday which was also Thanksgiving Day in America. I spent it in Dumaguete coz I had documents to process for CHED. My classmates from Bilar, Bohol, Mam Vilma and Sir Renante were there so we had lunch together and halo2 at Scooby's. At 230pm nanguli na pud sila. I gave a bar of Cadbury chocolate each pud to Mam Loyda and Monie, our secretary sa SPAG. Ka Mam Indab mn ta to, wala mn daw siya. So ka Monie n lng nako gihatag. I was about to go spend the day alone when I saw Sir Renante in Hibbard Hall mao I ended up spending the day with them. Later in the evening, full moon pa jud mao it was truly romantic strolling around Rizal Blvd. Next day I travelled to Bohol na coz la pa mn ko kauli for Mama and Ate Cecil's death annivs. Nakaoffer n pud ko for church projects. Now I'm back in Cebu. Work n pud ugma phn. Jia you Doki! Keep the faith lng gud always.. Nalipay ra diay pud ako colleagues sa ako bangka nga chopsuey ug honey-glazed pork from KSean. Ako n mn lng to gibilin nila Sir Erwin, Ms Berns ug Sir Jam kay I had to leave for Duma lagi. Thanks po for all Your blessings to me and to my family and to my loved ones, Lord. CHED

Again, I am on my 3rd scholarship for graduate studies bujag. First sa NL then sa SG then this time diri na ko RP. Nakahabol pa lagi tawn kos CHED K-12 Transition scholarships (local). CDU does not have scholarships kay personal kuno na oi. Saun! As it is, I am now finishing my coursework buyag sa ako PhD Social Sciences at Silliman University in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. 6 units ra tawn aho gitudluan sa CDU kay mao may condition sa CHED. Though I have a research group to mentor nuon. They are about to finish. Data processing n mn sila phn. And this sem, there's one rsrch group to take care of. Jia you Doki, kaya yan lahat with God's blessing and grace. Amen! Kani ako kwarta this time good for the next sem n pud ni. Kay basin April 2019 n pud ihatag amo 2nd sem allowance. Jia you! Kamemorable ba ani adlawa diay! Birthday ni ni Mam Ching Remedio, Hazel Uli ug Sheila Momongan ako batchmate from USC. On Nov 18, 2004 nibalhin mi diris Palm Heights. Then, Nov 18, 2010 civil wedding nila Nang Anel ug Emman. Nov 18, 2013 my mom passed away and Nov 18, 2015 birthday ni baby Patrick. Jia you to us. Sugod2 na ang kbusyhan kay duol n mn pud Xmas. Jiau to us! Incidentally, house blessing kuno today nila Melissa sa ilang bay sa Box Hill, Talisay. All the best. Cge.

SocSci Barkada

Barkada na jud mis mga SocSci klasm8s bujag. Yday 11/16/18 nagdungan mi paenrol nila Mam Aloha, Sir Jason, ug Sir Butch. Sa December 1 na kuno amo klase phn. Sila Mam Vilma ug Sir Renante ig Tuesday p kuno paenrol phn. Cge. The gang is composed of: Mam Aloha Tolin, Mam Sarah Fatima Valencia and Sir Justin Bolado from NORSU; Mam Vilma Paelmao and Sir Renante Avergonzado from BISU Bilar, Sir Jason Cocjin of WVSU Iloilo, Sir Butch Cañal of SSU Catbalogan, and me from CDU. Napa diay si Mam Lyn Encabo from CHMSC Talisay, Neg Occ and her friend si Sir Marianito. Ang next batch nga naay 3 taga Cebu di mi close. Sila Sir Kim, Mam Wilyn ug Mam Eden from previous batch friends na diay pud namo. Cge.

Intl Econ and US Econ

This sem, medyo bati ako skedyul but nindut ako subjects. Intl Econ with 7 students and US Econ with 4 students ra. Cge lng Doki, ana mn jud n. I have to make the grades from last sem for Phil Economy p. Cge.

2nd Sem 2018-19 subjects

I am down to my last 6 subjects sa PhD program coursework. I was able to enrol yday, thank God. Four tanan: 301, 303, 307 ug 320. Puros Dr Rivera ang 3; si Mam Jenny Elmaco sa 320 OD. Prince Charles @70

Nalingaw ra pud ko sunod ani British Royalty. And this year, 70 yrs old na diay si Prince Charles. Morag maghuwat ra jud na cja till mogive in or give way or mamatay (simbako lng pud soon) si Queen Elizabeth II. Coz she has promised n mn diay during her dedication to devote her life to the service of the British people. God bless them all!

Classical Social Theories

Yday, 11/10/18 we had a class in Classical Social Theories for Dr Rivera's class. 4 book reviews mn ija gipangajo. Thankfully I was able to submit all four buyag. Bisan ug char2 n to aho gibuhat basta I went thru all the readings. Sya na bahala mogrado ato. I did a presentation also on the Protestant Ethic which was different from what the others were doing, Durkheim and Marx so I am also happy to have done something unique. It means I don't just conform to the group. I did my best pud to go thru the Max Weber book. Thankfully it was quite accessible though it had a lot of Latin phrases in it. Incidentally 3 ra mi nipass yday -- si Sir Justin who recycled his Manifesto presentation from Dr Indab's class, Sir Renante who made the class laugh on his antics about his 'capitalist' wife, and me. Cried

Yesterday 11/16/18 morning I cried when I saw that niabot na amo CHED allowance. Coz I realized that I am in a much better place now than when I was in NUS/Sg back in 2005-2006. Gitagaan gud pud mi longevity pay last 11/15/18. I gave 1k to Nang Anel for Biboy and JM's bdays phn then 2k to Ate Ica. Nk.offer na pud ko from the longevity pay. To follow na ang from CHED. Another thing is that I would have the money to give my colleagues a simple treat ig bday nho phn. Last year diri ra mn tawn kos bay kay wa mn koy kwarta ato. All praise and thanks be to you, Lord. Bantil Taipei

Bantil is home for kalag2 and she's on her way back to Manila. But moadto pa to sija'g Taipei kuno mao basin Sunday n to mabalik sa Lipa, Batangas phn. She's also considering moving to government as she has upcoming interviews in Isabela and Tuguegarao. Laju na kaju tong mga dapita but if tua didto ang ija swerte, why not? God bless Bantil.
