Kung unsa gani, pwede ra man pud nako adtoon tong Rizwoods College Inc. lagis Cabreros St, Cebu City near SM Seaside ig August pohon. Isa2 lng sa ko ani lagi kay nag-usab man ko ug work environment. This is only my 3rd day gud and yet it feels like forever. So essentially I have 4 preparations this semester: Ethics, TCW, TEM (The Entrepreneurial Mind) and PIC (Philippine Indigenous Culture). 33 UNITS

Sus, this morning 3/27/23 I inquired with Mam Mizzy the CTU SocSci Chair kung unsa nay update sa akong application lagi. Wow, it was successful buyag. And she gave me 33 units oi. 4 subjects tanan: TCW, Ethics, TEM (The Entrepreneurial Mind), ug Philippine Indigenous Culture (PIC). Morag need jud ko magtuon p lagis Ethics nga klas. But sige lang, laban lang jud lagi! Ang importante is nakasulod ug nakasugod lagis SUC :) Di p jud siya mosugot nga akong igiveup tong Sunday nga klas kay wala n lagi daw makatudlo. Pwede ra man daw to modular pud. Okay po, anyway alternate man ang ilang sked nga online ug in-person. Naay every week; tua pud every 2 weeks. Kat-onon ko p tong akong sked ug maayo lagi. I have decided to back out of the Cebu City community but still be active as a member. Secretariat n lng ko lagi. I know man gud that Ma'am Ludy can organize the events very well. Kapoy pud mag-organize lagi kay gasto kajus panahon ug kwarta. So backseat n lng ko and attend n lng lagi ko as member pohon. I can maintain the directory as well as GC on Messenger for the group but si Mam Ludy doesn't need to confer with me for the next events. So I think it will work out very well ra. Then just this afternoon, diha n daw pud taga 5 Gyres Institute which is an organization that tackles plastic pollution in the USA and taga Voices of Asia pud which is based in Singapore. I was scheduled for interview with them at 1pm today, 3/23/2023. But I went there early so mga 9am nag-interview n ko lagi. Sus, akong former student sa Econ 11 uy nga Psyc major ang ni-interview nako. Si MC Narvasa. Bag-o p daw pud siya didto diay. They are an English language school located in Tanglad 2, Cotcot, Liloan. Unahan ra gamay sa Liloan Poblacion, atbang sa eskina sa Nature's Spring agion. But on my way there gitawagan kos Rizwoods lagi. On my way back, nichat pud nako ang CTU. Di n cguro ko madayon didto. I'm happy to have seen MC Narvasa again. Morag 2017 p lagi daw mi last nagkita. Let's pray for the best always. Aloha!

Wow, this was a very busy day indeed! Design hearing today sa akong students lagis Dumaguete. Sus, nibrownout btaw diris Palm Heights at around 1130am. Napugos ko'g adtos CTU oi. From 130pm I had my job interview with CTU via Zoom and 4 man diay mi applicants so 3pm n mi nahuman. Wa n gud ko kaapil sa hearing nila Larrace and Avegail. I gave my comment n lng on Avegail's paper and I asked Larrace to collate the comments on her paper. Then from 630 to 830pm ang Inter Nations event sa 1521 Bistro+Bar sa may Sykes area. Twas a success! I met 8 more lovely souls tonight, mostly expats. Tua n gani mi GC sa Messenger and I've come up with our directory too as a group. I suggested the next activity n pud for next month. Pahuway ko today 3/25/23 oi, afternoon n ko mogawas for Nang Anel's money as well as for PDFNI fee and offer sa SVD. Next Saturday n pud mi kita ni Mam Ophel pohon. I think I will be paid pud for the design hearings nila Larrace and Avegail. Sa 30 or 31 p siguro nga payday mareflect. I'm happy baya with my pay lagi Lord that I saw on March 23, 2023 afternoon. I received a text message late in the afternoon y'day that for interview n lagi kuno ko nila this Monday morning pohon. Sa Cebu City nga campus daw ko, sa may Cabreros St, Mambaling. Near St Anthony Mother and Child Hospital kuno. I looked in the map, morag duol sa SM Seaside lagi. If I am not mistaken, apil ni silas Univerity of Cebu (UC) system. Basta nindut ang sweldo lang lagi Lord and naay opportunities to grow, of course I'll accept the job offer. Ayusin Nyo n lng po ang lahat. Amen. I searched my email, niapply diay ko as Research Teacher with them back in February, on 2/18/23 to be exact. Wow! Morag they have a campus in Liloan and in Lapulapu City too. KL AGAIN?

I've been watching videos from WeAreOcampo on their latest trip, to KUala Lumpur, Malaysia (KL, MAS). Maybe it is worth visiting again. My last trip there in October 2017 was described as 'epic fail' gud ni Sir Max coz hapit man ko ato wa kauli lagi. Swerte n jud kaju ko lagi that my good friend Sunil in Qatar bailed me out. Anyway, nice man kaju ang Malaysia diay. Nice tong Melaka that they featured. Didto pud silas Genting Highlands. Ang latest video nila was of the Chocolate Kingdom. HEARING NA!

On the email, my thesis advisee Larrace Suelto from Dipolog City said that magdesign hearing n daw siya this Friday, March 24 pohon. I think madala niya coz gamay n mn lng kuwang sa iyang proposal lagi. I asked her to reorder ra man some of the research questions, write the methodology in paragraph form, add references and timetable of activities, insert page numbers. Add Table of Contents p? Makaya ra to niya pohon. Go go go! I just realized that this is my first time to be thesis adviser at MBA level man diay. (Coz ako may adviser nila AJ, Kerry, Neil etc before sa CDU-IS program). Mao diayng excited pud ko for her study pohon. Plus I'll be paid pud during the hearing. Heheh. Hopefully matakdan or mosunod pud iyang klasm8s lagi. Go go go, aloha Friday! :)

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION

Naa ra jud siguro opportunity for me in this field. Nice kaju ang DENR program this morning on Women in Conservation. And I was able to respond pud to the contact request of this certain Justin Thompson, an environmental activist from Ohio, USA. I added and msgd him on LinkedIn already. I replied to his message too in The Economist's Sustainability Summit at the end of this month. Gusto daw siya makigcollaborate lagi. Of course, why not? Napun-an akong contacts. Salamat po Lord. DUBAI

Today I saw this video from Sir Perry Fajardo's FB about the amazing growth in Dubai since the 1960s. And I also learned that Chef JP Anglo has a new restaurant there called Kooya which he opened in February last year. So there must be really something about the Middle East. If I'm not mistaken, tua man gud didto ang 2nd largest concentration of Filipinos overseas. The highest being the USA of course. The primary reason is the oil and gas industry jud. The first Filipinos arrived in KSA gud kuno as engineers in the 1970s. They were the ones who built the highways and buildings there daw. Based on what I read, the Arabian embassy in Manila issues about 100,000 visas daw every year. Pero there are a lot of Filipinos who are illegally staying in KSA and in the rest of the Middle East of course. It's not all a bed of roses as expected. I told Sunil n diay of my news. My ISS batchmate Nelia told me that being a private tutor in KSA would mean that I'm a domestic worker daw so she suggested that I apply to schools abroad. I did just that this afternoon. Syaro sa 12 k applications lagi as Business and Economics teacher at various international high schools abroad, wala jud mobawos ato! So tan-awn n lng lagi ni kung asa jud ko mapadpad. NO YOKLY

After doing the personality tests and answering those questions about what equipment I'm using and if I have a backup, Yokly told me that wala daw ko nadawat as Virtual Assistant (VA). Tungod siguro kay I lied about the speed of my backup pocket wi-fi signal man. Hago man gud magreactivate p ato. Heheh. Sakto ra pud siguro coz 11:30 pm to 8:30 am man tong iyang giask lagi tawn oi. I went to the PNB Mandaue North Road Office in Insular Square yesterday in order to open an account for my sweldo lagis Foundation University. Hapit ta ko di paopenon sa lady in charge but I think ang manager tong niingon nga to follow n lng kuno ang akong employment contract. Salamat po Lord. I just emailed them my employment contract with Foundation University (FU) in Dumaguete City after I came home in the evening. This morning I made a followup and after a while they gave me my online account number already. I forwarded it to Meriam pud in FU para masweldoan n lagi tawn ko ugma pohon oi. I will have a card pud kuno nga available in 2 weeks time. Iemail ra daw ko that for pickup n siya. Thanks po Lord! Actually I had an account with PNB in Subangdaku before, as a result of my SSS loan back in February 2017 man cguro to. Of course, hurot n man ang loan maong naclose n pud ang account. Excited n ko makasweldo jud. Salamat po Lord. Amen. Anyway, I used my passport and PHIC ID n lng in opening the PNB new account. Coz nawala n man lagi akong SSS ug BIR IDs. Last night my future employer in KSA asked for my passport details coz she will ask her contacts in Manila n kuno to process my papers. Omg, the most amazing surprise happened today! I got a call around 7:15 am from somebody named Amina. Taga KSA diay siya, and she offered me a job as private tutor to her kids (1 son who is 14 yrs old daw and 2 young girls who look like elementary age). Kanindut sa surprise Lord oi. One year contract iyang gioffer, end August daw ko niya paadtoon pohon. Based on what she said, sa compound ra jud ko mostly magstay. Kay morag naa n man pud tanan sa ilang compound lagi. Daghang salamat Lord for this new opportunity (and adventure). Aloha Saturday!

I was invited for a career orientation program daw sa Manulife Mactan ugma pohon sa hapon. Baw wala p may decision oi ang Asia Foundation regarding the consultancy. I didn't proceed with the Work Avenue job kay shifting lagi kay BPO. But I still made good progress today kay maapil n man daw kos sweldo ig March 15th pohon sa FU. I just opened an account with PNB online kay didto daw isulod among sweldo. Thanks po Lord. I hope before 15th pohon naa n lagi siya. Amen! Then si Larrace pud, akong student advisee sent me a draft today. I made comments about her study and am really excited for it pohon. Go go go! Basta I will carry on ra with my current sched Lord. Daghanas akong webinars y'day oi, on the occasion of the birthdays of my eldest sister, Analili Batausa Nacorda and my very good friend Malu Gevela in Cambodia. International Women's Day pud y'day. Anyway, in the morning I attended the hybrid webinar on Countering Grey Zones in the West Philippine Sea by Stratbase ADR and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. It ran from 9 am to 12 noon oi; hosted by Joyce Ilas, a CNN Philippines reporter. Then in the afternoon, ASEAN BCG webinar n pud, from 4 to 6pm here in the Philippines. Collaboration to ang topic; nice japon ang webinar. 3 speakers man to. I gained new LinkedIn connections: Tarek Hassan of the Digital Transformation Center in Vietnam, Hien Le from a university in Hanoi, Brian Karlo Zuñiga from ADMU and Madam Laarni Pacamalan of XU-AdC. This morning, I emailed one of the universities in Siem Reap, the University of Southeast Asia. Nibawos bja pud, nangajo ug CV ug certificates. Wow, I'm happy po Lord. Naay chance di b? I also looked at the website of Angkor University. Morag health-related man to sila oi. In the afternoon, I saw that there's a University of Economics and Finance (UEF) in Toulkork, near Western International School Long Beach Plaza or Main Campus. Ang Zaman University before is now Paragon University? I will see pohon makabisita n pud ko. I didn't have to leave; I could have just stayed on! Or returned in 2017. Tonight I watched the ADMU vs DLSU men's volleyball game of UAAP Season 85. Tuas ADMU ang brother ni David Licauco nga si James Licauco, #7. Setter siya. From the looks of it, pildi ang ADMU tonight. But maayo moduwa ang brother ni David. Actually, varsity player man pud sa CSB Blazers daw before si David. He got injured man daw maong wala n siya moduwa ug balik. Go go go! :)

LENT(E)

I distinctly remember from Fr. Frans de Ridder in one of his masses when I was in Singapore at the Church of the Holy Cross in Clementi. That the 40 days of Lent for us Catholics come from the Dutch word 'lente' which means spring. And ang Easter pud is symbolized by eggs to mean rebirth or renewal daw. So ang 1st Sunday diay sa Lent is kadtong man does not live by bread alone. And ang 2nd Sunday is the transfiguration. Ang homily ni Fr. Roy Crucero from the Saint Francis of Assisi Parish in Cainta, Rizal is from beast mode to God mode daw mi dapat matransform this Lent. I will update this blog ra as I go along. Amen po Lord. David Licauco will be among the 3 leading men daw of Barbie Forteza daw in the movie Penthouse 77 which will be shot on location in Vienna (Wien), Austria. He said they will be flying out daw on April 20th. Char! Then they have a teleserye din daw that will start shooting in June. Wow, looking forward to those projects. The other leading men diay will be Kelvin Miranda and Paul Salas daw. I love him in Descendants of the Sun jud Philippine adaptation. He can sing too. Go go go! ;)

True, coz 2 episodes n nga ang guests ni Tito Boy Abunda kay actors who have tried their hands in directing. Si Xian Lim y'day and Bela Padilla this afternoon. She has been missing from the Philippine acting scene kay she lives in London n daw. She's been there daw since the lockdown in 2020. She has a British boyfriend man pud named Norman. Makadumdum jud ko ani niyas 100 Tula Para Kay Stella with JC Ramos. The last time I saw her was in Ang Probinsyano p man siguro nga teleserye. Siya may 1st asawa ni Coco Martin didto. This morning I submitted my paper to the above event. Extended man ang submission of abstracts till March 8 daw. It will take place at ADB in Manila sometime in June pohon. I wrote a paper about the power supply situation in Bohol. Kabuang ko ug edit oi kay no more than 150 words ra lagi kuno dapat ang abstract. I ended up with the most necessary things lng jud for my paper. First foray n ni nako lagi to the BCG thing. Pls show me po Lord if You agree with me. Aloha Friday po! :)

Y'day I told Accenture PH that I will wait for the Asia Foundation consultancy if madayon to or dili. Today they emailed me that they cannot offer me a position daw. Okay, sila n mismo ang nidecide. Sige po. One week ang huwaton daw sa Asia Foundation. Wala man ko nadawat sa Inflexion AI editing job. I still have Appen pud oi. I just asked Payoneer to make my account active. Nag-interview n gud ko lagi with the Asia Foundation on March 1 afternoon. Accenture libog. I asked till when ko dapat mohatag ug decision lagi coz I'm waiting man pud on the Inflexion AI editing work outcome. I msgd her n lng this morning to ask if unsay akong buhaton lagi with them coz I have no background in programming jud. I also asked if fixed b ang work hours coz I already have a schedule lagi nga klase every Saturday morning and webinars every Wednesday afternoons till end April pohon. Tua p gani koy thesis advising ni Larrace to do. So I'll wait for their response po Lord. Salamat po and aloha! INTERVIEW WITH ASIA FOUNDATION

I had my interview with Asia Foundation this afternoon over MS Teams. Dali ra ang interview, mga 20 mins. ra. We started at about 3:25 pm then we finished around 3:40 p.m. Pahibaw-on ra daw ko nila kung unsay outcome sa akong application. Give them one week daw to decide. Basically, I think ang primary concern lng nila is if I will be able to come to Metro Manila in order to attend meetings with people in the government daw. I said yes, provided they pay for my airfare. I can stay with Ingko Lopoz ra man pud pohon (or whoever is amenable). They asked also if pwede b ko moextend. I said of course yes, coz this is new territory lagi. I don't have to be tied to the academe forever oi. All up to You Lord kung madawat b ko ato o di. Kung unsa lng jud pinakamakaayo lagi nako.
