LENT(E)

I distinctly remember from Fr. Frans de Ridder in one of his masses when I was in Singapore at the Church of the Holy Cross in Clementi. That the 40 days of Lent for us Catholics come from the Dutch word 'lente' which means spring. And ang Easter pud is symbolized by eggs to mean rebirth or renewal daw. So ang 1st Sunday diay sa Lent is kadtong man does not live by bread alone. And ang 2nd Sunday is the transfiguration. Ang homily ni Fr.
