Hawaii July 2019

I arrived in Hawaii on 16 July 2019 around 930am local time. Mike picked me up from the airport. Nadugay kos baggage claim. From the airport we went to the dress shop then drove thru McDonald's for our meal then padung sa ila na. Mga 30 minutes ang drive from downtown Honolulu to Kaneohe, moagi ug tunnel. Upon seeing those tall rugged mountains, kaingon jud ko kahadlok diri dapita. We had dinner at Windward Mall that night. July 17 Due to jetlag, I woke up at 845am. Aunty Helen was busy cooking Portuguese sausage. Paul came to the house around lunchtime with Ayumi and their kids. They like to eat lumpia diay so we cooked it. Wedding Rehearsal in the afternoon at St Ann's Church in Kaneohe ra pud. I met his bride Flori Ann Florentino Padua and her family as well as the wedding entourage this time. Special p to ila pari kay Latin mn lagi ila mass. Flown in from San Antonio, Texas p kuno to cja oi. After rehearsal we had dinner at Ruby Tuesday in Windward Mall, just across St Ann's Church. July 18 Drive to the Tantalus lookout overlooking Waikiki Beach then to Ala Moana foodcourt for lunch then Breakout Waikiki then dinner with Paul's family and Bain at Pagoda Restaurant. Met Dave and Sherri Banks, Seneca and Eddy and Uncle Gus Martinez Tan at the foodcourt. Met Lorraine, Chuck, Rochelle and Malia at Breakout Waikiki July 19 Friday Mike's wedding at St Ann's Church around 130pm and reception at He'eia State Park. Kadaghan n lng sa mga tawo nga ako nameet this time bujag! Uncle Gody Batausa I met in church, including his son Gody Junior and his wife Cristina. The rest sa reception na. July 20 Saturday Visit to Uncle Ben's graveyard in the afternoon, GS Studio Karaoke with Paul and family, and Dave and Sherri then dinner at Side Street Inn with the Tans then Leonard's for malasadas. You haven't gone to Hawaii mn daw if you haven't tried Leonard's malasadas. I must say I fell in love with the view in the cemetery too --rolling hills and all that. Wow! July 21 Sunday Aunty and I went for 1130am service at St Ann Church; Ayumi left for the airport, we had picture taking where Aunty wore the Cebu t-shirt that I gave; Pearl Harbor tour in the afternoon with Alisa, Mike and Aunty; sightseeing at Waikiki and to Diamond Head. Nasirad-an mis Diamond Head intawn coz we dropped by Target somewhere p man coz Alisa had to buy something. We saw a double rainbow on the way back. Dinner at Bubba Gump in Ala Moana with Dave and Sherri and Eddy and Seneca. But sa food court nikaon na mi ni Aunty! :) July 22 Monday Jocson/Rayray Ohana reunion at Ala Moana beach park. We got featured on TV. Heheh, the shaka move from Hawaii! July 23 Tuesday Drive to North Shore with Mike, Kii's memorial, Sea Life Park luau in the evening July 24 Shopping for presents at the Swap Meet at Aloha Stadium; Paul and kids going back to Japan; declined to go to PCC. In the afternoon nahitabo ang ako back pain drama as Mike would put it July 25 Aunty's appointment with the doctor; dinner with Venus and Aunty at Haliewa Joe Kaneohe. Great food and ambience! July 26 Meet up with Venus then she took me to Cinnamon Rolls in Kailua; Target for last minute present shopping and lunch at the house. I packed my things n pud in the afternoon. I asked to watch BBC and Bundesliga on their huge Smart TV. July 27 Flying back to Philippines. Mike and Aunty sent me off at the airport. We left at 12nn then after 6.5 hours of continuous sitting, nisakit ako likod intawn. May n lng gani kay gamay ra pasahero sa economy, nakahigda p tawn ko. I kept praying jud nga makaabot p kos Manila. Nagwheelchair n lng gud ko pagnaug kay sakit n lagi akong likod. Hay Doki! July 28 Sunday Arrived in Manila at around 430pm. Then around 930pm pa ako flight to Cebu so mga 11pm na tawn ko naabot sa Palm Heights. Kakapoy n lng jud sa byahe. Jetlag is real p jud. Coz Hawaii is 18 hrs behind Philippines. Ang 12mn diri maoy 6am didto nga maoy aho tigmatahan. I had to readjust jud to the difference in timezones. Twas a good trip ra japon Doki and hope makabalik pa kas Kaneohe next time. Ikaw n lng mag-igo gud Lord. Amen!
