Ibarra Kuno

The late Benedict Anderson translated the phrase 'el demonio de los comparaciones' as the spectre of comparison. He was referring to the character of Crisostomo Ibarra in Noli Me Tangere Chapter 8 wherein by looking at the Manila Botanical Garden, he remembered the gardens in Europe.
